Pretty damn nice. I lack the SCAR but am learning towards an HK556 in lieu of the SCAR as my be-all-end-all assault rifle. I have PS90 and Five-Seven in matching OD Green and the Tactical 45 in black with an RMR.

I suck at photography... every time I try and take a picture of guns indoors they come out horrible, either the flash makes them look like ass, or anything without a flash is too dark and fuzzy to make out. Whats the secret?

Try:
- Fill flash
- Flash at an angle (straight on snapping with a flash more often than not reflects)
- Set the camera down (tripod, books, etc.), set the timer, focus, no flash, and snap (shake/jitter causes blur, the timer allows you to press the shutter and step away!)
- Too dark even with timer and support? Increase ISO or decrease F-stop.

Need a lens with a low f-stop, but increasing the ISO will keep the shutter open longer so you need a tripod. Some cameras don't shoot well with a high iso though. I don't think your pictures suck. I would trade you one of my children for that p90, well one I call "can't get right". :laugh:

increasing the ISO does not keep the shutter open longer. it increases sensitivity so you dont have to keep the shutter open as long.

Looks like your flash is washing the pictures out. And direct flash will do that. You need something to diffuse/redicrect the light. Get yourself a notecard and make a ghetto-fab flash bounce to direct some of that light up. There are a bunch of DIYs on how to make a flash bounce, and is a handy method to use in a pinch. You could also forgo that and just get a speedlight that you can aim any which-way.

For reference (both photos taken with no ambient lighting):

The difference is pretty easy to see. With a direct flash, you get very sharp shadows and blow-outs which can ruin your composition, even with a lot of post work. With a bounce flash (or even a good diffuser) you redirect the light all over the place (hence the name) so that you get a more "natural" looking light that completely envelopes your subject and softens shadows as well. You're on the right track with your backdrops, now you just need to get your lighting up to speed. Oh, and use an imagehost that doesn't strip your exif data :laugh:
