I have the "original" Steyer AUG imported by Interarms. I got it in the early '90s for $650. with 5 magazines. I now have ten 30 round mags and one 43 round mag, a blank firing adaptor and a bayonet lug.
As soon as Hillary announces her presidential candidacy the firearms prices will skyrocket again and I'll sell it for $3,800. I'll use the money to buy a Desert Tactical Arms Stealth Scout, maybe in .300 Norma mag for the 1st barrel & bolt set.
I've handled FN 2000 bullpups (and own a PS90) but I like teh AUG much better than the FN 2000. It was way ahead of its time when first introduced and still is ahead of most new assault weapons.
I'd get a SCAR in 7.62 NATO only IF the bolt handle is changed to non-reciprocating.
