This. If it comes loose I'll take the smallest shim out and crank it down to alight it I guess.

Can feel a decent amount concussion. I like that. I'm wierd I guess, but I like feeling the blast from a weapon when I shoot it. Love shooting my fathers S&W .460. Talk about blast... :D

The pmag that I shot worked fine shooting off hand. The wobble still has me worried though.

I highly recommend using a crush-washer.

I enjoyed shooting the 2inch ported .500 S&W. Very high flip, but imparted recoil was low due to the good grips. Big fan of the .460, but I would prefer it in a carbine, being that the X frames are so darn big. Defeats the point of handguns - put it in a carbine for more velocity, capacity, accuracy, stability, modularity.

if it loosens up, put a TINY dab of rocksett on it. crush washers work fine for flash hiders but with the tolerances being so close on a brake or suppressor, it isnt ideal.

If you say so :)

I use crush-washers to tune the gas vectors in my brakes.

To each his own, so it seems.

Just use loctite if it comes loose.

thats why the brake ships with shims. it needs to time itself off the flat shoulder. with a crush washer there is no certainty that it will be square when you set it. it is really important with suppressors.

I agree about the size of the xframe, but fail to see the point of it in a rifle. I have a 18.5" 45-70, what would the 460 gain over this?

The 500 in a lever gun would be pretty fun on the other hand....

Not much, really, but it might have faster follow-up shots.
