Has anyone hunted with a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon

I had to put a great hunting lab down do to cancer this year and I truly miss her. A friend of mine mentioned his neighbor got an American Wirehaired Pointing Griffon and really likes the dog. It points and retrieves well - loves the water. Has anyone here ever worked with one? What did you think? Thanks
