2013 Surefire 3Gun Nationals - Texas Multigun

Last year, LaRue Tactical was the major sponsor, with many rifles on the prize table.

This year, it will be Surefire.

I'm headed out to set up for the national 3Gun match this weekend; ROs will shoot next week, and the pro-shooters and teams are comin in to shoot on the 19th, 20th, and 21st.

I will be ROing and watching and hanging out.

And probably shooting the entire match pistol-only, for fun and training. Not for score; but I can't afford the 3Gun ammunition, even with my friends lending me the gear. They have offered ammunition, but that's too much to accept, as I feel badly.

Anyway, if you guys have questions about 3Gun or big matches, I'll do my best to answer them. Otherwise, I'll just post some pictures here, like last year.

The work that goes into a match like this is beyond exhausting, and I was wiped out, as I work with multiple sponsors behind the scenes, not just ROing. Usually I'm working 16-18 hour days for 3 days straight. But it's cool, because you get to meet people and play with fun stuff.

Last year, @ Team FNHUSA. I have short hair, now, for the first time in my life :(

And I might see if I can get clearance to shoot a few stages with my FsN.. stay tuned... :p I think it'd be fun for you guys to watch? Or it actually be more fun to watch certain people keel over when they realize what I'm shooting and freak out about the ammo prices.

(Oh crap, I just realized I shipped my FsN out. )

Rethink that offer. My gun has still not recovered from his use!

I can't show pictures or video because I'd get in trouble, as the match is this weekend, but we built badass shoot-houses on 2 stages.

There are going to be several hundred shooters; logistical nightmare. I hope we make it! I have been getting 4 hours of sleep per night to work this match and help out. I hope it comes to fruition the way it should.

I had some fun with my FsN and got clearance to shoot a few longer range targets with it. We were hittin a 6inch plate at 100 yards, offhand.

Inspiring. We all have obstacles in life, it's how we overcome them (or don't) that defines us.

Whether you think you can or you think you can't... you're right.
