Was out today training my team

Post by blueorison » 20 Nov 2011, 22:32

And was blessed with beautiful, Austin rain.

It's always fun to shoot stages and steel in the rain.

Especially with your favourite shooting buddy, a blonde girl, next to you.

and video of her stages; but you should know that it's better not to share that on a gun forum.

I'm uploading the 1080p vids right now. I'll send you a unlisted link.

I thought the same thing as I was reading the post. I was hoping I was going to scroll down past the guns and see some chicks. Than I realized the thread was not in the cage...

Yeah, Mike. Looks like it hasn't even lasted a day and it's already been degraded with mocking posts. I just wanted to share the picture of our guns in the rain. Looks like that wasn't possible without it turning into a "girls with guns" thing, which wasn't my intent at all. I just wanted to share a simple picture and thought. :(

Sorry, Heavyarms, I didn't mean for it to turn into another kind of thread other than what it is. I wouldn't mind sharing pictures but you and I know it would probably lead to the same comments that people always make when they see girls shooting guns. I'm not sure that's the best thing to do. :cya:

Mike, Jeff, Marcus, I'll send ya'll links :lmao: I already have gotten messages asking for video.

Well, I'll post one picture.

She's ambi.

Her right has been slashed by glass and while recovering without the use of it, she learned to shoot with her left. A few months ago she was in a bad car wreck on the way to the range and broke a finger on her left hand, and I watched her shoot with her right.

I'm very proud of her, she has come a long way since she approached me that one day on the range and asked me to teach her. She's started her own ladies gun club in her city that is under a larger, national organization for girls who shoots guns. They teach women how to shoot guns. You never know what effects your actions can have. I'm very blessed to know a strong shooter and person like her.

Good on you blue for being so open and personable for her to be willing to approach you and ask for instruction. I think that it is a vital point for the continued existance of the shooting sports for this kind of attitude to be adapted, as opposed to the elitest attitude I often see. I try to make it a point to help as many people as possible at the range, or to get them in the range if they show the slightest iterest.

Yes, because if she asked for my help, I would shut her down so fast that she wouldn't know what hit her!

Me too!

Hey, I've had many a gal seek my shooting help. For the asking, they got the best I had to offer. Because they look good at it too, well that's a bonus.
