Reloading 5.7 stowaway rifle. 16.65 inch barrel

Not much bolt data listed so I started conservative.
As a start point I chrono fn factory 40 gr. 197 Blue Tip. 2150 fps.

Lehigh Defense 45 gr. CC
I loaded once fired 197 brass.
WSR Primer
Old Lot AA#7. Digital and beam weighed from Redding
powder dropper. 7.0 gr.
overall length was 1.565. Caliper measured
10 feet from muzzle 2225-2244 fps. Average 2235 fps.
5 shot group 3/8 inch horizontal and 3/4 vertical.
Target was 75 yards temp 75 degrees.

I was pleased with the load no pressure signs and very mild recoil. The Lehigh CC in the 45 gr. Min velocity is 1500 fps.
I plan to use it inside 150 yards. Starting at 2235 it drops to 1744 at 150 yards. With a 50 and 75 yrd 0, it is .6 low at 100, and 3.5 low at 150. BC Is .222

That's an interesting load! While I appreciate the detailed specs, I've found better accuracy and consistency with slightly heavier bullets and a different powder. Perhaps we could compare results sometime? Have you considered exploring variations in crimp or OAL for improved performance?

Well I'm switching to vmax 40 gr.
Old lot AA7 7.5 gr.
O/L. 1.575. Mv 2515 fps av.
1/2 inch at 50 yards. 5 shot string.
Brass and primers looked good but some primer pockets were loose. Might drop back to 7.3

More to come, running out of old lot AA7, so next up will be AA9 with ifire data references.
