Was wondering if the ammo needs the lacquer coating when reloading for the Diamondback DBX57 since it is a dual piston gas system.
I have a couple thousand rounds with poor lacquer that I was going to try to strip off and see if it will cycle. Unfortunately it will have to wait until I finish the current 2000 rounds of 5.7 rounds I am working on at the moment.
I will keep the loads separate obviously but was curious if anyone has worked on this yet?

The DBX from what I can tell won't need the coating as it's gas driven. You''re better off just leaving whatever coating is intact vs wasting time trying to strip it off.

Just picked up a Dbx. What kind of velocities are y’all getting with 35 and 40 grn bullets? And what best powder for fastest speeds?
