SS197 Question

Post by Stitches1974 » 26 Jan 2015, 17:23

I know for awhile SS197SR was tagged as lead free by little stickers added to the box. My most recent SS197 order was not tagged as such. Are they still lead free? :ponder:

That is confusing. It was my understanding that the primer was lead free, not the Vmax. A lead free version of the Vmax would be the NTX, and it would be either way long to maintain 40gr, or way light to maintain length.

The LF SS197SR was primer only, and it was a very very short run. I have 1 box of it. Had dark gray primers.

Sorry meant the primers, not the actual round. Thanks for the correction and the answer.

+1 :thumb:

I still have about 10 boxes of that crap. I found it to be about 40fps slower so I use them for virgin brass.
