Ammunition Laws

Post by Rapier1772 » 21 Jan 2014, 08:23

Please use this thread to post about the ammunition laws of your state. This is not about the opinion of the laws but more about what the laws are. For instance, if armor piercing/hollow-point/incendiary/tracer rounds are illegal in a certain state, please let us know. If you can provide a reference, that's even better.

Idaho has no restrictions. Laws associated with firearms are covered under Title 18 of the Idaho Statutes.

Missouri- AP ammo is legal, unless it is used in any crime, then it's illegal.

"Missouri prohibits the possession or use of armor-piercing ammunition in the commission or attempted commission of a crime. Mo. Rev. Stat. § 571.150."

HP and tracers- Legal

Unsure about incendiary.

AP ammo is illegal in Texas. All else appears to be fine.
