Price Check - PS90 USG Black Ring Sight takeoff

Post by JStarX7 » 20 Feb 2024, 13:00

Hello! I swear I once had an account here, but it was so long ago I probably no longer have access to that email.

Recently did a bunch of work on my PS90 that I have had since 2008 and always planned to SBR but finally did*. Wound up removing the USG sight and it has been sitting on my desk staring at me for a couple of months. I think I have finally decided I am just going to sell it, but I have no idea what these are going for these days. When I originally did the research (in like, 2010? ) they were going for about $500 or so, but I see you can buy new ones with a built in illuminator these days, so I have no clue what a fair price would be. Any help appreciated! Thanks!

*Well, the paperwork is done and the stamp is in, I just need to get it engraved so I can swap the barrel. Hopefully before another decade passes. :?

I approved this post even though it's sorta I wat to sell and your post count is not high enough.

You have the older cheaper polymer bodied sight. the Ringsight is still hand downs the best site for the P90/PS90.

I suspect you have the old white reticle version prone to washing out and with tritium so dim even when now you couldn't see it in the dark.

That can easily be fixed with an addition of the a REM illumination system.

So you have a black ring US Secret Service Sight.

Can you confirm polymer or Aluminum housing?

A small handful of Polymer bodied USSS where imported by FNH.

If it is Aluminum housing is was imported by me when I was acting as their NA/CA/SA distributor.

Gotta be aluminum, based on the one wear mark on the front left corner where the finish is rubbed off. Plate on the bottom is marked 08956 if that helps.
