And these are High Quality stick ons by a company named "NiteSiters", for those looking for a quick solution for night time targeting until you save enough money to buy the real thing. But then again, these really aren't too bad!

Nice, I kind of like the 3 dot over the fiber optic one in the other forum that Panzer was doing (where you send in your slide). But would like to see a side by side comparison, how long they last, that sort of thing. Looked like they were losing some of their brightness just during the vid though :ponder:

Hey, Wolly, if they work out good, feel free to send me a set! I understand they send 'extras'!

Ill tell you what cyber, if they work out nice I'll send you what I have left over. There are eight in the set (if they send more, woo hoo) and I wanted to try them on my five seven. I've got tritium sights on my other carry gun, so I'll send you three to try out if they're decent.

They sound great. Please let me know if they are worth the investment. I have a set of trijicons on my IDPA 1911 and I would not go anywhere without them.

They had to, the rear sight looks almost twice as tall.

No thanks then, the factory sights are large enough for me.

got my package today. Pretty easy to install; clean the sights then apply. They are very, very bright initially after charging and then settle down to a state which is pretty much in line with the tritium sights that I have, maybe slightly brighter. They take a while to stick for good, but seem to work fine. I guess the big test will be the first time when I carry with them. Initial impressions are very positive though!

I can't add anything more than the video shows as far as pics, etc, so I wont bother. But it's a pretty good reflection of what you actually see.

I'm not at all disappointed for the price :) If that changes, I'll let y'all know!

[added] With a very lengthy charge (about an hour, I don't know if it needs to be that long) under a bright lamp, a put the pistol into a dark cabinet last night at about eleven. At ten oclock this morning the sights were still glowing, albeit very dim. I have confidence after this that a charge in the early evening will carry the sights through sunrise as advertised.

Hey Cyber, I dropped you a PM w/ my contact info. It seems to be stuck in my outbox. Does that mean you haven't viewed it yet or I've done something wrong? :) new forum smarter than me, I guess!

Yeah, I got it. It stays in your outbox til I read it.
Just like the PM Artos sent me then withdrew it. It still shows I get one, but...
Anyway, Got and returned one to ya. I'll try to call ya tomorrow. Helping a friend whose building a house tomorrow so it may be later, but I'll try to call. I think I pretty much covered everything in the PM though.

Yeah, deleted that PM as F3rr37 and I got it about as far as it's going to get. My ISP has fubared the whole process. Can't set up a sever on port 80, and 8080 will not automatically re-direct without the port number in the address so, no posting pictures here from my server. :furious: You'd be shocked at how much they want to charge for a slower connection with one static IP, unblocked ports and a single TLD.

It's pretty easy. I just used the blade to peel them off of the backing, then used the blade and a toothpick to position them. Then I used a flat base to squish them down into the recess. Set under a hot lamp for a while so the adhesive can set. Instructions say it takes up to 72 hours for the adhesive to completely set.

Hope this helps!

Has anyone seen or heard of fiber optic sights for the FN? From what I can tell, there aren't many options in replacement sights for the FN 57. Although, I thought I saw a rumor a while back that FN was actually going to release some nights sights????

Those are all great, I like seeing everyones Ideas, and everyones creativity. I installed a Nikko Stirling Speed sight, the replaces the rear sight. It is an auto adjusting red dot sight, the dot adjust with darkness. I took it out in the pitch dark, and poof I could see the dot, and it did not blind out the area. I could see what I was aiming at around the dot. I also have a laser-light combo mounted under the front. For pics, go to Page 4 on the, "bolt on" night sights, thread. This is my Perfect Weapon, may not be yours, but I really like it, and will be testing tomorrow. Keep up the great work everyone.

Ok, for the people that did not look at the "Bolt-On" night sights thread, I did the testing, and was stupid, and forgot to tighten the sight back down on the mount, wasted 40 rds. I was in a hurry because it was getting dark soon. once I got it on target I kept everything in the 10 circle and x of a 25 yard comp. target, at 30 yards. It worked great at dusk, as the dark set in, still in the 10 circle. It got dark when I picked up my brass, and before I left I checked the sight with the moon shinning through the tree, and it dimmed down to almost nothing. I have bee asked about making more mounts, and I will, if I can get a few people who want them. Let me know. Thank you everyone.
