Re: Varmint Nightmare Bullets

I'm going to have to rework my load for the 35gr. Hornady. Is it a much longer bullet, and I can't go any longer on the OAL or they won't fit in the mag. It is going to compress the space and work up more pressure. With the Varmint extreme bullets, the OAL will obviously be much shorter.

Re: Cleaner/Lubricant for Five Seven??

One of the things I love about my Five Seven is the low maintenance. I pull mine apart and hit the lower with a blast of compressed air, and you could never tell it is not brand new after 5,000 rounds. I pull the barrel out and with a q-tip and carb cleaner, make sure there is no lacquer in the cham...

Five Seven USG for sale

I have an extra FsN that currently would be better off as a mortgage payment than a safe queen. It is a USG in the older flat box. Three 20 round mags and the cleaning kit, test fire casing, paperwork. Less than 500 rounds. I bought it as a back up to my IOM, but just haven't found much reason to ha...

EA or similar hand loads are a great answer, but the real answer is that best ammo and caliber are the one you have on you when you need it.

Factory FN 5.7 powder

I am new to reloading, so I have got a system together that works pretty well for me. I gather all the components, then take them over to a very experienced reloader buddy and use his Dillon 550. Actually, I usually just end up watching him use the 550. He is beyond a perfectionist. So far, it has b...

I buy some ammo from a place called ammosupplywarehouse.com. They are mostly an online seller, but they are out of a small town not far from Las Vegas, so I go pick it up. They move an incredible volume. They almost always have 5.7 ammo at a fair, but not cheap price. Recently they have SS195 in sto...

You really need to determine what you want out of it first. I have seen the ring sight from a G2 alone go for $400, even though you could buy something similar for less. I have seen the G2 hammer pack go for $600-$800. Crazy. If you value those aspects, it doesn't seem wrong to pay over $1,500 for a...

Like any market, supply and demand factors work on price. If you are patient and know what you want, you can find them at "market" prices. If you are desperate and have to have one right now, there is a patient seller out there waiting to charge you whatever you will pay. I have purchased 3 FsN's. O...

I use a bulldog case that is kind of a hybrid soft/hard case. I cut places in the foam for extra mags, but there was plenty of room to cut in for a fiveseven. It is a great case. Not hard enough to work for airline shipping, but plenty for banging around in the back of the SUV.

Hunter, I can only comment on the lacquer in the chamber. So far, I have yet to hear anyone report an actual failure of a lead free primer, and they have been around for quite a while. The 197SR also has lead free primers now. The point of impact differs with the potency of the ammo. You will likely want to qualify with what you are accustomed to shooting....
