Re: USMC Dishonored and Disarmed

I cannot remember where I read a post a few weeks back that I dismissed as purely a atypical conspiracy. But to some it up it basically stated that if things don't go the way the Feds want on issues that they would use different agency's that fall under Homeland Security to be the right hand do to t...

Re: you have got to see this to believe it... very frustrati

I found it to be very interesting to hear him say in one sentence that guns are used to intimidate and show power, and then to say that police use it for a different reason. Its just the normal Bull that the left wingers throw out to explain whats ok for them but not for others.

Re: bought 5.7 ammo RECENTLY?

Yea I Just checked out the place smokey talked about. They want $67.99 per box. Date stamp from 07. They originally where asking only $50 according to the hand written price on the box. But must have decided to join the gun broker club and demand more due to putting a tag for $67.99 over the older p...

Re: Lead Free Primer SS197SR

Just picked up 2 boxes of this at Cabelas and tried to pull the rounds to compare to older ss197. These rounds seem to be super glued in. Tried to seat them deeper to break the seal and it deformed the shoulders without breaking the seal. I then tried my hornady cam lock puller and it just trashed t...

Re: Which primer?

I would stick with what GONRA said about the primers. I also only load 223 and the 5.7 and I tried CCI400 and WSR for both. I found they only work in 223 with light loads. At normal load levels I started seeing CCI400 primers flattening earlier then with CCI41's and REM 7 1/2. I didn't have any pier...

Re: Every newyorker must sign this petition to repeal gun re

I say everyone needs to sign it whether you live in New York or not. The page lists that if you are a gun owner and the law effects you then you can sign it. Well I feel that even though I don't live in New York their law does effect just about everyone due to that law will set a precedent for other...

Re: Blue Dot neck separation

You have a couple of factors that are effecting your velocities which is why they do not match. Both your trim length nor your overall length match his listed loads. Also there are slight differences in batches of powder. The temperature in which you are shooting effects the velocities. And there ar...

Re: bought 5.7 ammo RECENTLY?

My wife was at Cabelas in Lacey Wa last night and bought the last 2 boxs of ss197lf. They had just stocked 100 boxs on the shelf the night before. She said that the Cabelas employee that orders the ammo said that most of 5.7 shortage was due to the Egypt army purchasing all of the main back stock be...

difference between primers in fps

While testing the difference between using the factory primers, WSR primers, and CCI #400 primers I had some very interesting results and wanted to know if anyone else has had similar results? I was shooting 36gr Barnes hp grenade being pushed by 5.6gr true blue for all loads. Set 1 was factory pull...

Re: powder measurment ?

If you can afford it I would say go with the RCBS charge master 1500. It works great with true blue and I've never had any problems. It tells you if it over/under throws.

Re: How short is too short when trimming cases?

I made the same mistake setting up my trimmer when I first started and ended up with about 10 as short as 1.120. But do to not being enough neck left to really hold onto the bullets when firing, some of the rounds in the magazine the bullets got knocked into the cases. I ended up just pulling the re...

Maybe I am missing something, but what makes these bullets " Not safe to shoot"? Couldn't they just be reloaded using comparable loads from ones with equal weights, starting low and working back up?

Re: Cutting Edge Bullets ESP Raptor Bullets 40gr

Are gs bullets legal? I do not want to put myself into the cross hairs of the ATF or Any law enforcement. I was looking for a replacement for your T-6, do to them not being available at this time as reloads or completed rounds.

Cutting Edge Bullets ESP Raptor Bullets 40gr

I have recently started reloading for my FSN and am curious if anyone has tried these and has any load data on them. I normally use CCI 400 primers and true blue. I do have some AA5 but stopped using it because of unreliable power fluctuations. I have so far tried 36gr Barnes hp grenade, 40gr Hornad...
