Re: Inconsistent recoil, flash, and ejection

One other thing that can cause the inconsistencies is the amount of crimp. If every case is not crimped with equal pressure and location on the neck and such can also cause that. Thats why crimping can be such a pita to get set right.

Re: Inconsistent recoil, flash, and ejection

What are you using to weight your charges? I had a similar issue with an electric scale that was having electromagnetic interferences and the weights were inconsistent until I isolated it and used an anti static spray on the parts.

I started at 6.0gr and worked up to 7.5gr. My favorite 55gr plinking load is 7.0gr at 1690fps.

Re: Law tactical folding stock on AR57

Based on its design I would have to say, no it will not work on the AR57. The idea of a folding stock is some what nice. But the way this works looks like it is just adding a possible point of failure from debris getting in the way. Add in that you cannot fire it with it folded without causing damag...

Re: Elite Ammunition 5.7x28mm Brass Update

Just completed a round of shooting production test samples. No primer, neck/shoulder or case failure during entire test and pressures were taken well above 65k psi. Not even the beginning of a gold ring inside. How does your lacquer coating hold up after being fired? Way the hell better than FN's. ...

Re: AR-57 as an alternative to the PS-90

What is it in particular that you would like to know about it? I have a gen-2 12" upper. It has worked flawlessly for me right out of the box. The only thing I would change on it is to remove most of the tacktifag side rails.

DNS settings must have been changed again. I cannot access the site from my cell phone. FYI I use tmoble. If I connect to my home network I have no issues, just with the cellular network.

Re: Hornady 45gr HP/BEE

Grant I had the same results as you with every bullet I tried. I chalked it up to the relative burn rate and compression. Very few bullets actually scaled up like normal powders.

I cannot speak much on HS6 but I do use Longshot alot in both my FSN and my 12"AR57. Also I load the controlled chaos for both platforms with Longshot.

Re: Help with powder choices for 55 FMJ

My personal favorite for heavy bullets is VVN105. It's clean burning and has a mild kick compared to True blue and Longshot. Blue dot also works but is very dirty compared to other powders imo.

Did you ever get the chance to try your new mags to see if that fixed your issue?

I have used both True blue and Longshot on your list. With both I was able to push it to 1700+fps.

Re: New and need help with ar57

I have a 12" Gen2 upper. With a magazine in the handles do have a slight wiggle to them. Empty they don't. The slight wiggle has never been an issue for me. I have both AR57 mags and FNH mags and they both lock in tight. I have never had any feeding or charging issue with either type of mag either. ...

Looked at the bow mags also, but the reviews seemed to be mixed. A non plastic version to direct more energy forward would be interesting.

Re: restrictions on full auto fiveseven bolts

I have a 12" Gen 2 AR57 that has performed flawlessly. I have it on a lower that I pieced together myself. As for the full auto bolt carrier the only thing that comes to mind is that here in Washington it's illegal to have a full auto unless you have a FFL for it or are Gov/Leo.

If you can get VVn105 I would buy it in a heart beat. It works very very good across the board. Its one of my favorite powders, unfortunately I cannot seem to find it at all.
