Re: Is your weapon collection complete?

I believe that guns are tools and you should have what you NEED. Self protection is one thing, subsistence hunting is another. Make sure you have the right tool for the job. If money is no object, buy what you want. As far as posting your guns on the internet just to show them off equates to penis ...

Re: Is your weapon collection complete?

If you are investing just because you think the feds are going to ban something...you are going to have a bad time. Unless of course you can already afford them. Then you will have a good time, it just won't be a good investment. After the great failure this year, the gun grabbers really don't have...

Adding a suppressor is not the same as adding barrel length.
Thank you much.

Re: Velocity: PS90 SBR Suppressed vs PS90 Stock

But what I want to know is, when you cut the barrel down to 10.5 inches and then stick a 6 inch suppressor on it, how are the velocity numbers compared to the unaltered PS90 w/ the 16 inch barrel?

Re: SS195 Production Status

I just can't imagine there not being a 28gr factory round available. I do know that the white house has some executive control in ammunition and firearm importation and could be causing some problems for FNH through delays and such. I have no idea how much but I know it doesn't take an act of congre...

Re: Is your weapon collection complete?

I'll be honest with you, besides a weapon being somewhat unusual, one of my other big motivations in acquiring a piece, is when the government hints that I shouldn't own it. That's what really got me into collecting guns several years ago; my liberty feeling threatened. If you look at my collection,...

Velocity: PS90 SBR Suppressed vs PS90 Stock

I have really done a lot of reading on both 5.7 sites and can't quite get my question answered. It seems that an SBR with suppressor is about the same length as the stock PS90 before you cut it down. I've read the OAL is very similar between the two. Now, having read articles where suppressors have ...

Re: Is your weapon collection complete?

That ES is not fun to shoot. I speak from experience. The long bbls are fine. Still worthless as a backcountry carry gun for me. Way too big. I will say the BC PC gun you have does shoot very well. Great HG hunter. To each his own. 500SWfan may just like pain. :) I will tell you this, I would like ...

Re: Is your weapon collection complete?

The .41magnum cartridge is an odd-ball, much like the 5.7x28mm cartridge. A real sleeper. Light loads like a .357 and heavy loads like a .44magnum all within the .41magnum's grasp. Many black bear guides (for hunting) carry firearms chambered in the .41magnum cartridge. Often described as .44magnum...

Re: ARIS International ammo

I'm envisioning another round for EA; the RoasTOR... "911, I've just been involved in a shooting. I was attacked, in fear for my life, and I defended myself." "What? You want me to describe the attacker?" "I don't know, I shot him once and he caught fire and ran off. I see some smoke coming from the...

SS195 Production Status

I have heard differing opinions on the issue. As many people that have said it is discontinued have said it is still in production just delayed. The following comments were made on the other 5.7 forum: Just got an email from fnh's customer support that said the ss195 was not discontinued, but that i...

Re: ARIS International ammo

Some of their loads, yes. That seller had a number of their loads for sale on GB at one point. IIRC they were utilizing Cutting Edge Bullets in one load and a VMAX projectile in another. Did you test the velocity on any of them? I am interested in the tracer ammunition. I just recently read an arti...

Re: Is your weapon collection complete?

There are several firearms out now that shoot 500SW. All of them can handle the round. But I carry a 454 Alaskan for bear defense. It is small enough to care without issue and powerful enough to stop a large bruin charge. And though painful after twenty rounds or so, it is very shootable, particula...

Re: Finally got a PS90

This is going to sound retarded and noobish but I was thinking about putting the fake suppressor on the end. I don't want to SBR it because I appreciate the extra velocity and that fake suppressor seems to eliminate the odd look of such a long barrel projecting from the compact body. Am I going to b...

Re: Is your weapon collection complete?

You have a point, a conspiracy-laden point, but one that I did take into consideration before I posted. If the black helicopter man wants to swoop in and take my guns, he is sure welcome to try.

Molon Labe and all that jazz. :)

Re: Is your weapon collection complete?

If you notice by my past purchases, practicality is not a prerequisite for me buying a firearm. I am kind of weird. I prefer to buy things that are unusual. The kind of guy that would choose a FiveseveN as his carry piece is not a practical man. lol I would buy a 500 because it is unusual, one of th...
