Re: Brass trimming

My reply to Cwc was unclear, but I think he interpreted it correctly. The right way to do it is to trim after re-sizing, no question about it. And, as he wrote, Cwc is doing it that way. I was--unclearly--trying to point out that he could be seeing the problems he described if he did it the other (w...

Re: Brass trimming

Seems to me that you should mic the pilot to see if it is larger than, say, 0.220". If so, then go for the diameter reduction. Mine measures 0.219" and I have no problems. Are you trimming after re-sizing? If you trim before re-sizing, there may be cases that have reduced diameter necks. I checked 1...

Re: Appropriate humor v2.0

This was a movie? People actually watched this movie? The dialog must've been pretty easy to learn. Not many words there, eh? But, boy! I can sure see the humor in there! (Sorry guys...just a grumpy old man...getting older and grumpier by the day.)

Uhhhhhhh....I am evidently missing something here. I don't recognize the quote and I see no humor in it. Someone want to enlighten me, so I can share in the laughter, too?

Re: Help reloaders!

When I first began loading the 5.7, I too was meticulous. But in addition to FTEs, I had FTFs. Going here and asking why that could happen, someone observed that if I didn't ensure the case interior was thoroughly dry before loading, that could do it. I thought about what I had done and "bingo"...da...

Re: Gun Control: The Final Solution?

Also in the California news today: a bill to ban all lead-containing bullets was introduced in California legislature. The environmentalists say that it is needed to protect the predators who feed on shot carcasses from lead poisoning. This is in spite of the acknowledgement that: "... incidences of...

Smithy...earlier in this thread I showed a pix of the catcher I made using a velvet Crown Royal bag and some Velcro. Works well, costs about the same, and you get to drink the scotch.

If you want a clear picture of what's ahead, read or listen to Glen Beck's book, "The Overton Window". Impending doom, indeed. The book will frighten you.

Re: Green Berets sound off

Good read but, as you wrote, "...too long to post". All of our politicians should read the article, but politicians only respond to "sound bits" and one-liners. They do not take the time to understand both sides of a position. This is the most disturbing aspect of our politics today...that "we have ...

1982 Senate Subcommittee on the Right to Keep and Bear Arms

I found this today: http://www.joebrower.com/RKBA/RKBA_FILES/GOV_DOCS/1982_Congress_RKBA_report.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I recommend that everyone on this Forum take the time to read the report in it's entirety. Re: 2013 Shot Show

What's the deal with Boberg? A couple of years ago, I saw the ads for his new .380, with that interesting-looking cartridge-from-magazine extraction cycle and I sent him an email asking to be notified when the pistols would be available for sale. Since then, I've received a couple of offers from him...

Re: There never would have been slavery if Blacks had guns

For those among us having trouble reading "huddleston101's post, the English translation is as follows:

"You're so right, and the liberal dems also told them they did not need to depend on the church, either, and that the government would take care of them. Well, look where that got them."

Jeesh.

Oregon Sheriff Says "No" to 2nd Amendment Abuse

The sheriff of Lynn County (Oregon) sent the letter linked below to Vice-President Biden. On the Lars Larson talk radio show today, Sheriff Mueller confirmed the authenticity of the letter and he said that he had sent a copy of the letter to all the other sheriffs in Oregon and that he knows that ma...
