Re: Kimber Eclipse! 10mm or .45?

Well, I have some news. One, I replaced the recoil spring and firing pin spring with 18.5lb Wolff springs. I also put in one of those polyurethane recoil buffers that mounts to the guide rod, in an attempt to reduce frame beating. Two, I took it to the range. The gun is an absolute BLAST to shoot, b...

Re: Kimber Eclipse! 10mm or .45?

 Sweet! Good buy, too. Let me know where that EA brass lands....the Griz throws it about 20 feet behind me and the RZ10 throws it 5 lanes to the right. Nice pics, you can't overdo good pictures. Congratulations on a great purchase. :thumb: The Eclipse uses an 18.5 lb spring from the f...

Re: Kimber Eclipse! 10mm or .45?

I just acquired a September 2006 production Kimber Eclipse Custom II in 10mm. I called my local favorite Kimber dealer, and they quoted me $1050 and 6 months delivery. Great price, awful time. I recieved a call back shortly that one of the salemen there owned and had for sale a lightly used Kimber E...

Re: Kimber Eclipse! 10mm or .45?

But the 10mm.... 10mm! Its AWESOMEEEEE :thumb: The .45 uses cheaper and easily found ammo... For 10mm thumping at the range I've been using GA. Nice people, good product and the wait times are down from 4 months (a year ago) to 4 weeks......at the moment. For carry/HD it's EA. Holy cow! 50 rounds f...

Kimber Eclipse! 10mm or .45?

So I'm planning on buying a Kimber Eclipse. I'm torn between getting a .45 Target sights model or the 10mm standard sights model. The .45 would be strictly used for punching tiny little groups in paper. The 10mm would be hopefully used for the same thing, but I may carry it as an alternative to my F...

Short Barrel Rifles/Shotguns will now be legal in Alabama

Sponsored by State Representative Jeremy Oden (R-11), House Bill 2 repeals the previous Alabama law specifically prohibiting short barreled rifles and shotguns, despite them being legal federally if properly registered. http://arc-sos.state.al.us/cgi/actdetail.mbr/detail?year=2010&act=%20496&page=bi...

Re: Gun Mounted Light w/ Laser - Review/Poll -updated 4.22.

As an owner of a TLR-1 and an X5L, I prefer the X5L over the TLR-1/2 series. Its lighter, and has a green laser instead of a red laser. The light on the X5L is not as bright as on the streamlights, but is very wide, which may be why it seems a lot dimmer. Definatly bright enough for any indoor envir...

PS90 : Elite PenetraTOR : 55gr FMJ at 2300 FPS
10.5 inch AR-15 : .223 55gr FMJ at 2800 FPS.

Hope this helps a bit.

Re: Kudos To A&A Arsenal !

Hi, New forum member, soon-to-be new 5.7 USG owner. Just had a follow-up question about the usage of the ExterminaTOR round for self-defense. You said that the Barnes bullet is too much for the human body. Does the round just not expand properly in 10% gel, or is it more that the velocity out of th...

Re: Sighting in...

Look at the adjustment screws on your FsN.

If the gun is hitting low, adjust in the direction that "UP" says to turn until its hitting right vertically.
Do the same for hitting left and right.
Fire five shots per group.
Adjust until its hitting right where the front dot is aimed.

Indeed, people that think 5.7 is a .22WMR pistol are very very hopelessly misinformed.

Re: Interesting Article about the .22WMR and the 5.7x28mm

Its just more people who think that barrel length has no effect on muzzle velocity. Its just more people who are afraid of cartridge advancement. Its just more people who subscribe to the big bullet theory. Its just more people who will do anything to convince themselves that the new technology is i...

Can't wait to see some still pictures of the wound channels!

Was that three level II vests or a mix of II-A and II?
Did the FsN shot penetrate all three of the vests?
