Re: Ruger 57 Fit to Carry

YMMV but fact is nothing locks the hammer back when the safety levers are moved up and there is no passive firing pin block.

Re: Ruger57 magazines

MANY folks have had feeding issues and Ruger has even admitted some of the magazine bodies are under spec on the inside and cause rounds to jam in the body around the 15th round.

Amazing they have all this gunk all over and yet slides that arrive already rusted NIB.

Re: New gun chamber cleaning

Well after cleaning at around the 15 round mark do your rounds still get stuck in the magazine?

Re: New gun chamber cleaning

Besides gunk there have been inder sized mags, ruger is aware of this issue so when you contact them they replace mags ASAP.

Re: Reloading for PS90

More shoulder movement on the PS90 over the pistol is normal.

Do you have pictures of your brass so we can see the amount of movement ?

Re: Magnum Primers

There are 2 pressure spikes. One is the primer that actually pushes the un ignited powder charge against the bullet and in the 5.7 can casue bullet jump. Then there is the second spike created by the powder burning. The powder burns/oxidises at a hi rate, it does not explode. If it did the gun would...

Re: Magnum Primers

Yes 50k psi, but we are talking primers not max case pressure.

And it does matter when addressing details concerning the round who provides the recognized specs.

P max is a factor of 3 things, When it happens How long it happens Max pressure. There is also a P amx for the primer ignition, Shot Start Initiation Pressure is the technical ter...

Re: Magnum Primers

You do NOT want faster pressure spike. You do want to use small rifle primers for teh thicker cup, but the last thing you need is the spike occurring sooner.

Re: Hornady lock and load auto charge????

Yeah I have no experience with those presses. The only home press's I have are ether Lee Classic Cast, Dillion550 and a old RCBS single stage turret.
