Re: Handloads are mid-air tumbling
I have tried out 62 gr subsonics with mixed results. Been on the back burner project for awhile now. Stabilization was "ok" but cycling was the issue. Only PS90 sbr.

People have joked that glock would do it. Would be funny it happened. Doubt this company though.

Re: COMMERCIAL 5.7X28MM BRASS NOW AVAILABLE
Thanks Gonra. It would be interesting to compare old loads to the new loads on a fps basis. Like 1000 grains of XXX @ 100fps to 730 grains of YYY @ 100fps. See what kind of case deformation, primer, etc. Going to be confusion regardless in the future between loads of FN vs EA brass if people don't p...

Re: COMMERCIAL 5.7X28MM BRASS NOW AVAILABLE
Thanks, Jay. Wasn't asking for load data. Oh! The liability!!! fyi we will be getting the round SAAMI certified so that will increase information concerning loading. So what your saying is that when it is SAAMIed that you can publish some loads? More like conservative loads that a reloading manual ...

Re: COMMERCIAL 5.7X28MM BRASS NOW AVAILABLE
I would compare Jay's brass pricing to that of 300 blackout's history. Rough start out, then when got adopted more and used more, prices came down. Also as industry took it up, it became more plentiful. There is another aspect that buffman pointed. Instead of other companies buying ammo to pull and ...

Re: Elite Ammunition 5.7x28mm Brass Update
In a recent coffee chat vid, I think he stated same capacity as normal 57 brass. I would also start to guess all the developed reload recipes will work... or is the dimensions being slightly different internally be an issue despite being the same capacity?

Re: Subsonic SUPRESSED PS90 SBR & FSN MK2
Sorry about double post. But was looking at some data and ran across my experiments here. 2.3 was a danger. Had some good numbers then 2 very low ones. Don't go near or below 2.5 unless you check for squibs each shot.

Re: Subsonic SUPRESSED PS90 SBR & FSN MK2
Work your load down with longshot. I was able to do 2.5 without a squib. But then your barrel might be different, etc etc. Don't expect the pistol to stabilize, but it could be the xtreme bullets I was using.

Re: Subsonic SUPRESSED PS90 SBR & FSN MK2
I found 2.7 to 2.9 area of longshot under a 55 hornady FMJ or xtreme bullets FMJ, OAL 1.6, primer WSR. Works as subsonics in a PS-90 sbr. However they do work in a FN 57, but they don't stabilize in a can on the 57. No probs on the sbr with can. Grimmond was a help in developing this load.

Re: Subsonic SUPRESSED PS90 SBR & FSN MK2
DO NOT use blue dot for subsonics. I tried and had wonky results. It likes lots of powder. I feel it could cause a kaboom if to little is in the case.

Re: 62 grain FMJ using longshot?
I believe 55 grains ended up being 1.60 OAL, 55 grain FMJ, 2.7-2.9 longshot. Went low as 2.5 and we good. No keyholing out of PS-90 sbr and with supressor. Will cycle the FN57 with no keyholing, but with supressor attached, will get keyholing. Got some working 62 grain subs, however they are still e...

I don't own a tri rail, but looks promising. Have to gauge that crowd.
EDIT. Would the sight over bore be the same if mounted on the USG? It looks like it just might be higher.

Neat, a better coating than FN. Will it also resist the resizing die alot better?
