:patriot: yup, very cool. It's made all the media outlets here. Even though the Big Bend area is several hours south of here it is still considered local. And yes "W" is a true and good American.

Re: How to hit at 100 yds?

OK, I bought some targets to help me sight it in and some torso man targets to try at 100 yds. I can hit a squirrel at 120ft with my airgun pistol (IZH-46m and a cheap red dot sight) off hand, so this will be something new. This is all because I saw some guys shooting their AR's at a metal silo at ...

Re: How to hit at 100 yds?

Thanks all for the advice. I still need to sight in it. What distance should I sight it in at? Some of that depends on what you plan on using it for. If it's strictly for home defense I would sight it in at the longest distance you can see in your house. Such as the distance across the living room ...

Re: AR15 guys

I am considering getting either a S&W M&P AR15 or a Bushmaster Ultralight - both around 6 Pounds (I'm a short dude). Since I already have a PS-90 with EA ammo, do I really need an AR15. I know they have a greater effective range then the PS-90. I am just trying to justify my "want" into a "need". T...

Since everyone is picking on texas in the other thread, I thought I would post this http://i327.photobucket.com/albums/k467/rapier1772/Texas-car-fail.jpg Two things: 1. That thing probably has a 350 motor if not a 454. 2. It is probably owned by a volunteer fire fighter. Disclamer: There is nothing...

I mean this with all my heart. You suck, because you got two free guns and because you can walk across the street to the range.

Back on topic. I had a Nylon 66 as a youngster. Shot great. I made speed loaders out of 1/4" copper tube.

Practice practice practice. Front sight squeeze. There is never other people watching or even in the area. It is you alone in your bubble. Nothing else matters. If you're going to do it, do it free hand no support. JMO.

Re: Red dot mounted

Yes, a co-witness is where you can use your iron sights through the optic if you want. If they are lined up that should work. It just looks, from the pic, that the front sight sits in the way. It's not wrong to have the same POA, that is the way I had my eotech set up on my RRA. Some people like to ...

Re: Fiber optic 5.7 sights

How similar is the mounting for the front sight comparing the FsN to the FNP? If the front sights mount the same you could use a FNP Competition front sight. Then you would only have to build a rear sight to match. FNP Compatition front sight: http://www.redstradingpost.net/auction_images/Auction_Ar...

The hammer box looks a little different also on this new one?? I wonder if it looks different, because it not "blown to hell"? ...

The trajectory through glass is unpredictable. A fairly standard procedure for police snipers is for two officers to do a simultaneous shot. The theory is that one round will get there just a little bit sooner than the other. First round clears the glass and the second clears the intended target. Th...

Another slant to consider is that it was a semi-auto and malfunctioned. I worked a scene not too long ago where the semi-auto the actor used malfunctioned. He fired 4 shots, but left 3 unspent rounds on the ground, which meant he had to fire, clear a misfire, then fire again 3 times. The firearm was...
