Re: FN FiveseveN Pistol Variants

Hmmmm... I just noticed that my DAO looks a little different than the pic posted. Mine had the FN logo on the pistol grip, and it has an HOD (hold open device).

Re: Anyone here try shooting cast bullets with their FiveseveN?

I've been trying to get a swaging outfit form RCE, LLC since May 2007 and no luck so far. I just got a hold of him yesterday, and I'm trying again. I wanted if to make 8mm FMJ for my semi MP44 but now that you mention it, I'd like the setup that makes .223 out of .22LR casings as well..... Th...

Anyone here try shooting cast bullets with their FiveseveN?

Been thinking of getting a RCBS .22 cal 55grn GC mold for some of my other rifles, but was wondering if anyone has shot cast with their 5.7 pistols? It's just getting harder all the time up here to find reloading supplies at a half decent price these days... and I'm too cheap to buy factory stuff......

Re: .223 ammo is not 5.7!

One more example of missleading names is the Swiss 7.5mm which is really 7.62mm... the bullet that is. The casing is not the same!

Re: Primers for reloading FiveSeven....

I use Winchester and CCI small pistol primers for a number of applications in 5.7; they work just fine. Long time no see, RamRod! How are things in the great white north? Things are going very good thanks, and it's nice to be back. Thank for the info. I kind of though it would be OK to use the Win ...

Primers for reloading FiveSeven....

Morning all. Going by the reload data here, almost all of it uses CCI primers. What I'd like to know, would it be ok to use Winchester small pistol (standard) primers with the same data, until I can get some CCI primers? This is for my DAO pistol. I noticed on another thread they mentioned Win small...

Re: FN FiveseveN Pistol Variants

Welcome to the forum, I don't have a DAO, but the trigger pull is heavy on them because they are double action. :) Well, I have a Sig226 that's double action as well, and the DAO feels like it's a 15lb pull and the Sig is about a 3.5lb pull. I was guessing is was part of the safety features, since ...

Re: FN FiveseveN Pistol Variants

I have one of the DAO models, and was wondering if anyone here knew why the trigger pull on these suckers is so "darn" heavy? :ponder:
