Re: The Anemic .45ACP
Not really, I just shoot for fun and practical experience (I am finally going to try to shoot enough matches this year to get classified...) Since I reload 9, and the people who run the matches here are sticklers for all the rules, I learned up on the PF info! Nothing like shooting 250 rounds across...

Cool, or just plain mean?
I was inventorying some ammo and came across this cache in an ammo can pushed way to back of a shelf. I debated posting pictures here, I don't want to make any one green (oh wait, yes I do :p ) http://i603.photobucket.com/albums/tt117/bobapunk/NICKydex%20Holsters/_MG_5454_zpsaec12809.jpg http://i603...

Re: The Anemic .45ACP
I thought I did read it... must not have made it to the end... So, the 10mm is the 200PF, not the 9mm... that makes more sense... I have my 9mm loaded to 128-132 PF (125gr LRN on 4.4gr Solo 1000) They are 128 out of my FNs and 130-132 out of my 92fs (depending on what recoil spring I use... Last yea...

Re: Fixed Sights vs Adjustable
An Elite Ammunition accurizing job will help too! I am by FAR not the best shooter, but this group was shot off-hand at 50 feet. I was aiming for the cluster of 9MM holes and was hitting low (197 v 195) The low flyer I will blame on shooting a bunch of 9's and .45's and then shooting the 5.7, the co...

Re: Fixed Sights vs Adjustable
My USG has adjustable sights and I would not want it any other way.
When I got mine, I don't think fixed sight models were even available...
As you have noted, there is just way too large of POI difference across the ammo spectrum.

B- "If you are done, show clear. Gun is clear, hammer down and holster" is a ROYAL pain if you have to insert a mag, drop the hammer, eject mag, and then holster... I wondered about this when I shot an IDPA match but since none of mine have one, I forgot to ask  Yeah, it can be done; but, th...

Re: Removing the mag "safety"?
Shooting any type of match is a royal pain in the rear end if your gun has a mag safety for 2 reasons: A- mag safeties rub on the mag and can cause the mag to NOT drop free. This creates wasted time striping the mag on reloads; and B- "If you are done, show clear. Gun is clear, hammer down and holst...
