Vanguard Outfitters Ammo

Post by jimlongx » 05 Mar 2017, 20:43

Has anyone tried Vanguard's " Black Fang" 5.7x35 ammo? It looks a lot like Elite's T-6. Online review showed 16" penetration and fragmentation in 10% gel. 12" penetration through two layers of Level IIIa armor. I payed $233.37 delivered for 100 rounds since Elite is not accepting orders currently. I ordered 3/1/17, item is listed as "available" but hasn't shipped yet.

Vangaurd approached a bullet manufacture, GS Bullets, that I had contracted to make my bullets. I fired GS Bullets for supplying sub standard and life threatening bullets.

GS then took my design of the T6B, violating NDA/NCA and sold it as their own. OH and as Buffman can attest it's shitty copy made from substandard copper.

GS and Vanguard are scum.

The V57 prime is the one I reviewed and what you saw online. Yes it's very close to the T6/B design. I am waiting on samples of the Black Fang.

Vanguard's web site describes the round as "V57 BFD (black fang dragon?) Black Fang". You say you have tested V57 and are waiting on samples of Black Fang to test, do you think "V57" and " Black Fang" could be the same round, just new marketing name?

To my knowledge no. The V57 very closely resembles the T6/T6B. If you look at the black fang, you can see they've changed the design of the front most section. What else they changed, I won't know until I have samples for testing.

To Buffman: Thank you for your reply. I just received my order of Black Fang. The points are as sharp as needles. I'd like to see you test these. I'll mail you some ( my gift to you) if you want to test them.

I'll keep that in mind. However with these coming with a premium cost, I wouldn't want to take away from anyone's stash because I need upwards of 25 for testing.

I'll Fedx a box of 25 to you tomorrow if you'll tell me where to send them. It's worth it to me to know if Black Fang is a dependable self defense round, one I can stake my life on. Elite's T6B checks all the boxes but the wait time is four to five months. Black Fang was delivered in a little over one week. I really don't care about the rounds ability to penetrate body armour, I bought FiveseveN because of light weight and 20+1 capacity. I'm looking for twelve to eighteen inches of penetration and hoping the round tumbles.
