No still testing new brass.
Buffman has some 6 inch tests and like I said the 5.7 is very predictable at 100fps per inch.

I'm sorry to bug you about this, but have there been any chrono #'s taken with either the 6" or 7" barrels? Specifically with the SS197 and SS198 to serve as a baseline (as these velocities are pretty well established out of the FsN factory barrel.)

I will chrono our ammo.
It comes down to time and still settling in from the move and all the brass flowing now I am very busy.
If you notice I have been updating and publishing numbers for our new brass.
I will be adding 7 inch soon.

While I think we'd all be very interested in seeing how Elite's loads perform out of the new barrel from a ballistics nerd perspective, getting the velocity for the SS197, SS195, SS198 is what will really sell the barrel.panzermk2 wrote:I will chrono our ammo.

Elite's loads are already extremely effective and fast out of the factory barrel. While going even faster would be cool, that's not really a pressing concern. Sort of like how adding nitrous to a Lambo would be cool, but not on the top of my priorities list.
Meanwhile, the FN loads are just a few hundred FPS from where they should be. If the longer barrel is able to bring those loads up to speed, then that's huge, as the FN loads are what most of us are buying in large quantities. Knowing that in a SHTF that once I run out of S4M, I could swap in the 7" barrel and still get good velocity out of the SS198 and SS197, is what I would buy the barrel for.
For example, if SS198 penetrates 50% of the time out of the factory barrel, but 100% of the time out of the 7" barrel - that's really fantastic and worth dropping the money on.
