EA FsN MKII Optional Front Night Sight Blade

Post by panzermk2 » 27 Feb 2015, 09:21

I am thinking of adding these yellow ring night sight front blades as an option.

They are more of a day glow color the camera had a hard time capturing the color.
Thoughts?

I love it, for one. Contrasting sights are swell. After I couldn't get a set with an orange front for my PPQ (except for the taller triji HDs) I painted the white ring orange on my own.

What about fiber optic front sights? Night sights are awesome and all, but they do have a limited life span. Fibers don't and they rods are pretty simple to replace.

Room for an effective rod is the issue, they do break very easily, this is why when you buy fiber optic blades you get extra rods.

Night sights go min 10 years before starting to dim and the ones we sell have a lifetime guarantee.

R&R has them with many options.

Can you explain to the potential buyer why they might consider yours over the cheaper option offered by the previously mentioned company or others?

Thanks!

R&R?

I have no clue how they are offering them so cheap. I would really like to see a set as NO one I know has them on their FsN's. Even their pic
is clip art, so no clue as to the quality.

Ours are in stock.

Ours are installed be ME. The only person with knowledge and experience more than me on the FsN is Tommy Thacker and he is no longer working for FNH. He was the product manager for the FsN before leaving to become Pr. Armalite and turn the whole company around.

Turn around is faster.

We offer the lower blade.

We have been doing FsN NS 9 years longer than rr.

We offered all the color options in the past. Virtually none where ordered. Since we try to keep full sets of sights in stock to reduce turn around time it was logistically impossible to keep all combinations.

Ours also have a lifetime guarantee. They go dark in 15 years send them back for a free replacement.

I opted for the R&R sights last year. I had questions which Ryan answered fairly quick about the options. Sadly they do not offer the shorter front post as does Jay, which I would have really preferred the short post. They are lifetime guaranteed. I orders green rear with green rings, blue front with white ring. Turn around time was good and no issues since March. I respect the hell out of Jay and his business and the products he offeres.
, but I was trying to save money and go a different route.
Not trying to instigate, just another's opinion to suite my needs. Hers some pics of the rear and front in the light, and a close up of lights off.

I really feel the shorter front sight from Elite is a game changer.

The sight pice looks worn around the edges due to clothing rubbing. My picure taking skills are not the greatest.

I did replace the flat head set screw with an allen one. Previous owner had it kinda stripped out for whatever reason. It does not interfere with sight picture even when tightened all the way.

With our NS we manufacture a new rear blade that uses full sized tritium tubes.

They are drilling and filling the pre existing blade and have to use smaller tritium tubes.

Ours are substantially brighter.

I can't take pictures that do justice in the dark but mine are plenty bright. They offer two sizes for the rear, standard and small. I wasn't sure if you made your own rear blade but then I did notice the major difference in the contours and edges compared to a new Fsn.
