RMR mounting

Post by Ditch » 05 Nov 2013, 03:59

I have a Rugar 22/45 with a rail on top, I have a RMR 05 with mount that I got for almost nothing.
Is better to mount it to the back end or towards the muzzle end. I was watching Rugar TV and they had a red dot mounted toward the muzzle end, or is it more of a.personal preference?
Thanks

mounting the optic as forward as possible allows for quicker sight acquisition and has less of an effect on peripheral vision.

Biggest of ALL is personal preference! Try a few different positions and mount it where it works best for you

:twss:

My apologies but that statement was screaming for it (and again, TWSS).
