Scar 16 suggestions?
Looking for an optic for a scar 16. Strongly considering a Trijicon Acog 4x32. Does anyone have any experience with the acog? Thoughts?

I can't speak as far as "match" accuracy but that 4x32 will give you consistent hits on a man sized target at 500 yards. And also hold its zero even though it looks like it has been crushed by its share of seven ton trucks. I've only gotten to use them on the range and in blank fire simulations but I know a few guys here have put them through their paces in the sandbox. If I had the money I would love to get an ACOG and put one of the red dots on the top

Its basically going to be another coyote rifle so match accuracy isn't of great concern. I know it can be done, but I have my doubts about myself being able to hit much at 500 yards with a 4 power, but I suppose with enough shooting maybe I could do it. Most likely if I get one it will be with the RMR on top (the only FDE ones I have seen come with it). I am curious as to how well the reticles are calibrated. I'm assuming they are fairly accurate with a certain bullet weight. Thanks for the info!

The ones I have used, with a 62gr FMJ, put the rounds right where they say they will

4x Acogs at 500 yards is a cake walk. You will have 0 problems.NWmissouriman wrote:Its basically going to be another coyote rifle so match accuracy isn't of great concern. The first time I actually used an Acog besides just table-testing it, was at 1000 yards, spotting for a NF scope.
I could spot the hits at 1000 on steel with it.
After that, I was incredibly impressed.
Their glass is awesome. If you get one at a good deal ("surplus"), go for it. If not, get a 1-4x optic, etc. for less.

Absolutely WILL NOT go wrong with the 4X ACOG.
