Alright...I finally got to shoot some EA today!! Let me tell you, it put a smile on my face when I shot the S4 for the first time. It also put a smile on my face to have every one at the range either staring at me with jaws dropped, or scowling at me cause it was too loud! LOL. I had no idea you could actually see the flames with your naked eye!

Here are the chrony results for the S4 and Pentrator rounds. Measurements were taken with a Competition Electronics ProChrono.

S4 SuperRaptor: (out of 20 rounds) Hi: 2380fps Low: 2259fps Avg:2297fps Extreme Spread:121fps Stan. Dev.: 28

I had one round get pushed in (possibly due to the one jam I had). I also had one round blow out a primer, which occured with the round before the jammed round.

Penetrator (55gr FMJ): (out of 26 rounds) Hi: 1489fps Low: 1403fps Avg: 1428fps Extreme Spread: 86 Stan Dev: 19

No problems with these.

Overall, Im very impressed. I think the S4 is going to be a permanent addition to my carry/HD magazine.

Lisa IS the company.

Hahaha, shouldn't this be posted as EA's classified feedbacks?

Well as long as I'm here might as well.

GOT MY S5's, perfect condition! Can't wait to shoot them! A++++ Communication and packaging! :p

Thank You to Elite Ammunition

Post by slyon » 17 Aug 2010, 15:34

I would have posted this message to my previous post however it has been "locked?". I want to provide feedback regarding Elite Ammunition now that I have received my FN 5.7 back from them. I picked it up at Fedex this afternoon and although I have not had the opportunity to shoot it yet, all indications are that the "accurizing" was very well done! The trigger is SUBSTANTIALLY better than what came from the factory and it looks like great care was taken to provide me with a mechanically exceptional firearm. Disregarding the "communication" problems with Elite I'm very pleased with the end result and want to thank Elite for their efforts in resolving the issue presented in my previous post. Thank you Lisa! SLYON

Hi Lisa and Jay,
used the website contact email, and pm'd Jay a couple times about needing to do a return / exchange. Had a little mix up happen with ammo, got Penetrator instead of Quietor. I've yet to get an email with a return label. This has spanned over a couple months, mostly due to my slowness in getting to shoot the rounds after they arrived, then I am gone from home for work. Other than that you guys have been great.

Done 4 orders with EA in the past 3 months and had 2 delivered, one within days of placing the order. Have a small issue with the ammo going to the billing address instead of the shipping address but other than that great products. Keep up the good work.

Elite Ammunition feedback

Post by Prepper » 19 May 2011, 12:34

Thanks, Lisa. I just received my 100 pounds of assorted EA ammo. :thumb:

I have to give EA the highest rating for Customer Service, Fulfillment, and Product/marketplace Knowledge. Always friendly and polite... Jay, on the other hand,... :lmao:

Seriously, how many companies not only give you advance warning of price increases and explain why it's out of their control, but also allow you to order ammo that is backordered just before the increase from their supplier and honor the cheaper price - even though it was going to cost them more. :patriot:

Post by carsfor » 17 Jun 2011, 04:28

I would like to post a message on the forum about the treatment I received from elite ammunition on a purchase I was trying to make, I sent them two checks for enough money to pay for a purchase I thought I was making I sat and waited to hear back after the initial request I had made to put the two checks toward the purchase of some 6.8 ammunitionand was told there would be no problem to do that, but when I finally enquired about the purchase I was told by the owner they were no longer accepting checks for payment And I asked what had happened to the checks I had sent earlier when they were accepting checks and I was told that the checks could not be found that they were having trouble with the P.O. deliveries they had not had problems with them prior to this because I purchased quite a few things by check, any way I thought that I was treated unfairly in this situation and I just wantedc to post it in the forum

EA announced on June 6th that they will no longer accept checks or money orders due to the unreliability of the USPS. I think every forum member here has had an issue with the USPS at one point or another so its understandable, I for one have had numerous things lost in the mail before. I am not really sure why you think you were treated unfairly.

Have the checks been cashed?

I can personally attest to how the USPS can take a while. I placed an order with another company & 26 days later it finally arrived. The envelope was postmarked the day after my order. This means the company fulfilled their end, but what the USPS does with it is out of anyone's control.
Also, just because your prior checks didn't have a problem before doesn't mean there were no problems receiving mail. Other people were having problems with this; no company bases their policies/decisions on a single customer.
I'm not jumping down your throat, I am just trying to understand - where is the unfairness? Did they take your money & not fulfill the order? Or is it that they were accepting checks & now they aren't?

I sent my FsN to them to be accurized, add the HD spring and adjustable night sights. I sent Jay a PM yesterday asking if it happened to be on its way back to me. I only did that because I was invited, at the last minute, to a hog hunt in 2 days on private land and I really want to see (and video) how the FsN & S4Ms perform on them.

He said the night sights were not there yet and proceeded to offer me his personal sights so I could go on the hunt.

I declined the generous offer, but I DEFY anyone to find another company where such an offer would be made. This is the kind of customer service that is simply lacking these days in this country.

EA for president (if that was possible anyway)!!!

*update
i was told that they tried to contact me several times to send out my virdian laz/light. i never received any emails. placed my order on Jan. 6th. i contacted them on Apr 20 and asked how much longer it would take and was told to wait. emailed them back on april 25 to ask about it and was told they tried to contact me several times already without a responce, because they needed my laz/light. i canceled my order today. i figure if they lied about contacting me i dont really want to send anything expensive over there. i dont mind taking the 20$ hit to cancel, its just annoying that i waited this long when i could have gone else were.

i still will buy all the ammunition from them. but i dont feel comfortable with them doing any custom work or sending them my 57 to do a trigger job.
David0Lt wrote:iv had a relativly good experience w them. the ONLY problem is my holster is been on order for 4 months so far. i will state that i do realize that the time frame are estimate as posted

"I cannot STRESS enough that everything you see here is CUSTOM MADE off our premises and we have NO CONTROL on the EXACT TIME FRAME.

The time frames are all ESTIMATED
"

but it also states

"These ARE custom made for each order and the ESTIMATED time frame is 6 to 8 weeks A 10% cancellation fee applies to Custom Orders cancelled before they are shipped. Once shipped, orders cannot be cancelled "

thats like going to a restaurant saying its a 30min wait and 2 hours later your still not seated. on top of that i lose 25$ to cancel my order because only god know when it will be, if at all, finished?! in their defence it is a small buisness. and i love EA. and still support it. i just dont support the estimated time frame of 6-8weeks, specially when there is a 10% cancel fee. -1 point

i had moved and they changed the shipping address after i order somethings. and they were fast enought to make the changes before they shipped to the wrong address. +.5 points for that. (its only .5 because the rest of my order has yet to be made and sent out)

iv bought from them about 6 boxes of assorted ammo. with more on the way. i will aggree that messaging to them sometimes dont get answered correctly. but again, small buisness and i understand they are most likly overwhelled by the demand. im pretty sure that one panzer guy on here is the owner of it or something. at least you know you will acctually be heard unlike biger corperations

Kudos to EA for repairing my FsN. Since my last slide had a gaping hole in it, I got the new custom slide while I was at it. Great customer service and fast repair, I would recommend to anyone.

my experience with EA

Post by Kinoons » 03 Jul 2012, 17:00

This post is to elaborate to everyone how much of a stand up guy Jay is and the top notch operation he is running at Elite Ammunition.
My first purchase from Jay, in October of 2011, was fifty rounds of Protector II ammo for my FiveseveN and PS90. I found the ammo to be very good in my fiveseveN, but to my surprise, my PS90 would not work with it at all -- I'd get stovepipes on spent casings and bent noses on new ones going into the chamber. During this time I also purchased, second hand, one of the mini slide rail adapters for my FiveseveN. The rail adapter was loose in the rear sight mount in spite of any of my efforts to lock it down.
I contacted Jay with my predicament to find he was eager to get me something that works. We first agreed that replacing the springs on my PS90 and FiveseveN would be a good first step. To this end I ordered a ps90 spring pack and a FiveseveN recoil spring. This helped the recoil on my FiveseveN, but my ps90 still refused to work with the protector II ammo.
I again contacted Jay with my problems. He offered to send me a sample of Pro III ammo on his own dime to test in my PS90. At the same time Jay suggested I send him the slide to my FiveseveN and that he would take care of mounting it for me. I agreed, sent in my slide, and shortly thereafter received a sample of Pro I ammo. I eagerly took this new ammo to the range, to run into the same problem again.
Once again I contacted Jay asking if he had any other ideas. I knew that some PS90s were picky with ammo, but this was really frustrating. To my surprise, Jay suggested I send him my rifle so he could inspect it personally and resolve the issue. Again, Jay stated the only cost involved would be for parts if needed. At this point I sent my rifle to him.
Jay kept my rifle for about a month, and stated that the lacquer off the ss197 rounds had built up and caused pressure issues. He also stated that it was functioning for him well after a good cleaning. During this time my slide returned with a perfectly mounted slide rail and zeroed Burris FastFire II (at no charge).
My PS90 was returned to me. Eager to test I headed to the range with both my remaining Pro II and sample Pro I rounds, to again encounter the same issue. Pro II would not work at all, and Pro I was only maybe 30% reliable.
Jay and I again exchanged Emails. He let on that there was something he was working on that may help, a new reducer weight for the bolt, that would help the issue, but that he was a few weeks out from having one that would work. I told him I'd like to be on the list to get one once available.
A few weeks later I noticed the rate reducers were available, so I e-mailed Jay to arrange purchasing one. Much to my surprise Jay insisted on sending me one to try free of charge.
The rate reducer arrived, and I took my PS90 to the range. I tried some Pro II rounds I still had, and while they were maybe 60% reliable, I had the same issues with feeding. I contacted Jay and we were truly out of ideas. I offered to send the rate reducer back, but Jay insisted I keep it. I offered to pay full price, and even manufacturing costs, but Jay decline.
The next day, while looking at the EA site, I noticed that the Pro II was no longer recommended for use in a PS90. I suddenly remembered that the Pro II was the only ammo I tested. I gathered up the 5 remaining Pro I samples I had and went to the range. To my surprise, all 5 fed without an issue. Finally success! I e-mailed Jay the good news, to which he replied that he was happy as well.

Given my experience I will not hesitate to purchase anything from EA. I am slowly stocking up on Pro I and can say that EA has a customer for as long as they choose to stay in business.

Test-fired the new PS90 bolt rate reducer with S4M and SS195. No issues; excellent functioning. Thanks for a superb job Jay and Lisa!

Subsonic

Received 25 rounds of replacement subsonic from EA. Fired four and all cycled flawlessly. I admit, I had gloves and safety glasses on but I will not in the future. Thanks Jay. :thumb:

Panzermk2/Elite Ammunition

Post by DmL5 » 15 Dec 2012, 13:42

Just realized I've never posted feedback for EA on here.

It goes without saying, but EA (Elite Ammunition) is a great company with great products. Jay and Lisa have been great to interact and do business with over the years. In fact, one of the first boxes of 5.7x28mm ammo I fired through my Five-seveN (back in 2006) was a gift from Jay.

Highly recommend EA! :thumb:

Great people, great company, excellent service - to say the least, they go above and beyond and the innovation they bring to this platform is simply impressive :thumb: . Thank you for your hard work, dedication, and customer service (with those impatient people like myself). For those who have yet to understand this.....go buy a Glock, your a lost cause anyways  .
