Here's an excerpt from article written by an Iowa columnist who freaks out after staring at man’s bulge:
There’s a mantra quickly repeating in my head: “Please have a badge. Please have a badge. Please have a badge.” It’s a steady heartbeat as I begin a conversation with a shop clerk and reposition myself so I can peer over her shoulder.

I’ve already seen the bulge in his jacket, and it’s clear from the size and shape that he has a holstered gun. Now my eyes are quickly scanning, hoping to find a law enforcement badge clipped to his belt.

I’m in a local bookstore and there’s a sticker near the door asking patrons not to carry weapons on the premises. My two children scurried off the moment we entered, each in search of their own treasures.

The whole article is here:

There was a comment from a guy (that subsequently disappeared for some reason) who claims he was the one with the bulge. He said that it was a halter monitor that measures arrhythmia for his cardiologist. Either way, from irrational rants like above, to tackling legal carriers, to "swatting" a guy in Walmart with a toy gun (who was subsequently killed by police)... we are starting to see more of these hysterical paranoid episodes from the crazed anti-gun community.

If I remember correctly, in Washington, signage isn't law. Is this different from state to state? My understanding was that here, if I see a sign like that, I can still go in BUT if they ask me to leave because of it, I have to comply otherwise I can be charged with trespassing.

Actually, there is one - 'walmart'. Lack of intelligence of this magnitude is why I hate going there, especially before midnight.
Walmart after midnight is one of the few places I choose to open carry hah.

Just a plain old sign with no guns posted on it does not cut it here. It needs to be a specific size with specific verbiage on it. No clue about Washington either. It has to be a specific size and wording here. The rest of what you said is the same here.

EDIT: From handgunlaw.us : “No Firearm”
signs in Washington have no force of law unless they are posted on property that is
specifically mentioned in State Law as being off limits to those with a Permit/License to Carry.

If I lived in Flint or Ann Arbor, Michigan, I would be tempted to open carry to the school every day just to mess with these guys.

Short version: High school music recital, guy was legally open carrying. School choir director calls the cops who determine man is legally carrying & doing nothing wrong.
D-bag University of Michigan, Flint music professor Brian DiBlassio isn't satisfied so takes to facebook bullying:
There’s an idiot with a handgun with two magazines attending the Ann Arbor Pioneer Choral Cavalcade, sitting in the tenth row. Police came in droves, escorted him out to interview him in the hallway and could do nothing based on his permit. He’s now back listening to 8th grade girls singing Hey Jude. My first experience witnessing this ridiculous show of…I don’t know what. Who does this at an event with 100s of children ffs??? Who does this anywhere? ‘Merica!
His 2nd post included the man’s picture and other identifying information. DiBlassio said that the man is the grandson of a former superintendent of Ann Arbor public schools.
I decided that the parents of 200+ junior high and high school students might want to know that they had someone with a military weapon, replete with rounds of ammo, watching their kids sing (he was in the front row). After the last song (about global unity and peace, from the olympics. .oy), I got up on my soapbox — literally, it was a theatre box — and announced as much to the entire audience. In the lobby, [redacted], the former Deputy Superintendent for. Business Affairs. for Ann Arbor Public Schools lectured me on how wrong it was for me to disrupt a public event (disrupting people exiting the auditorium?), etc. Soon after I learned who brought the weapon into the concert. [redacted] grandson (phone in the pocket).
Hmmmm, military weapon? Huh?

The article ends with
But he added that even if he had known that open carry was legal beforehand, ”I would not have responded any differently, and I will not respond any differently in the future.”
Some professor, even when educated he still refuses to change his behavior. & some role model, doesn't get his way so resorts to cyberbullying tactics.

Had I been there, I would have shook the gun carrying man's hand & said thank you for looking out for others.

Just saw it, just now. Don't want to click after I read the description. Waste of life.

How is your job, dude? Everything ok?

More propaganda about blaming the tool instead of the idiot using it. What do you expect from NY?

Also, while their claim that "every gun has a history" is technically true, most guns do not have a history of violence against people.
Some guns have a history of being purchased & left in a safe, some have a history of paper punching.
All of mine have a history of target shooting of some sort & I have a few guns with a history of violence against animals. But NONE of mine have a history of violence against people (at this time).

I also noticed that they disabled the comments on that video on youtube so we can't point that out.

Total propaganda with actors as customers. Can't be in NYC because all those weapons are illegal there.

I would have told the clerk had someone WITH a gun been at Sandy Hook or any of those other shootings lives would have been saved!!!!
