zOMG! A GUN!!!

Post by Rapier1772 » 05 Oct 2013, 08:44

I just saw yet another article about the anti-gun stupidity. This is not about being idiotic with a gun, it's about the excessively stupid anti-gun attitudes out there.
Couple of examples:
Pop Tart gun, Josh Welch: School suspends 7-year-old for biting Pop Tart pastry into 'shape of gun'
http://www.abc15.com/dpp/news/national/ ... ape-of-gun" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
BALTIMORE - A 7-year-old Maryland boy has been suspended from school after biting his breakfast pastry into a shape that his teacher thought looked like a gun.
Josh Welch, a second-grader at Park Elementary School in Baltimore, said he was trying to nibble his strawberry Pop Tart into a mountain.
"It was already a rectangle and I just kept on biting it and biting it and tore off the top and it kinda looked like a gun but it wasn't," Josh said. "All I was trying to do was turn it into a mountain but it didn't look like a mountain really and it turned out to be a gun kinda."
Being from Idaho, I think these are funny & even relevant:

The kid ended up getting a lifetime NRA membership out of it as well :laugh:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
School tells cop not to wear uniform to pick up his own kids
It's because he was carrying a gun while in uniform.
http://news.yahoo.com/school-tells-cop- ... 05957.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
An elementary school principal in Mesa, Ariz. has asked a police officer not to wear his police uniform or his gun when he picks up his daughter at school, reports local Fox affiliate KSAZ.
The reason: it’s just too scary for some parents because the officer was — gasp! — carrying a gun.
zOMG! A cop with a gun?!?! What's the world coming to?

I'd tell them to get over it, grow a set, get an Rx for some testosterone and kiss it.
That's one of the stupidest things I've ever heard in my life.

Some people should be punched in the private parts, man or woman. It might reset their brain and actually make them use it.
Never attribute to malice that which can be explained by stupidity.
The shooter will always matter more than the gear ever will.

62yr old man (Daniels) goes to walmart in Florida, he puts his gun into his hip holster as he gets out of his car.
Another guy (Foster) saw him & as soon as Daniels got into the store, Foster tackles him & puts him in a choke hold.
Foster is yelling "He's got a gun!" Daniels is yelling he has a permit but Foster doesn't let up.

Cops get there, confirm Daniels has a permit, and arrest Foster for battery.

Being that FL is a stand you ground state, I'd say Foster is lucky Daniels didn't try to shoot him.

Either the guy showed amazing restraint or he couldn't reach his gun because of the "choke" hold.

I can't help thinking that this might have ended differently if the crazed gun-a-phobe had targeted a 31 year old instead of a guy who was 62.

Surprised they haven't played the race card seeing as how Daniels is black & Foster is white.

And if you watch the video of that incident, it looks like 2 others are helping the dumb ass restrain Daniels.

Actually, there is one - 'walmart'. Lack of intelligence of this magnitude is why I hate going there, especially before midnight.

I didn't see a vid before, thanks Stitches.

In defense of the other guys, they probably only heard the "He's got a gun!" & assumed that meant the guy was up to no good. However, still no excuse for Foster.
& then they disarmed him... This guy passes the gun to that guy, that guy passes the gun to another guy and no one cleared it :facepalm:

Ooooo, I can't tell you how mad I would be if I were Daniels...

I pulled it off the Florida section of AR15.com. I bet Foster would have a cow if he ever came to Missouri, with OC being legal here. I eagerly await this guy's punishment though.

It's simply amazing how gun-phobic people can totally melt down because of their irrational fears.

Here's an excerpt from article written by an Iowa columnist who freaks out after staring at man’s bulge:
There’s a mantra quickly repeating in my head: “Please have a badge. Please have a badge. Please have a badge.” It’s a steady heartbeat as I begin a conversation with a shop clerk and reposition myself so I can peer over her shoulder.

I’ve already seen the bulge in his jacket, and it’s clear from the size and shape that he has a holstered gun. Now my eyes are quickly scanning, hoping to find a law enforcement badge clipped to his belt.

I’m in a local bookstore and there’s a sticker near the door asking patrons not to carry weapons on the premises. My two children scurried off the moment we entered, each in search of their own treasures.
The whole article is here:

http://thegazette.com/subject/opinion/b ... g.comments" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

There was a comment from a guy (that subsequently disappeared for some reason) who claims he was the one with the bulge. He said that it was a halter monitor that measures arrhythmia for his cardiologist. Either way, from irrational rants like above, to tackling legal carriers, to "swatting" a guy in Walmart with a toy gun (who was subsequently killed by police)... we are starting to see more of these hysterical paranoid episodes from the crazed anti-gun community.

OC is legal here too although most people choose not to. I've done it a time or two, no biggie to the locals.

Since he was "presumably" acting in the interest of public safety, I doubt they'll do much to him. Plead it down to a misdemeanor, slap on the wrist, & off he goes.

The walmart "swatting" of John Crawford happened because the 911 caller lied.

Don't ruin my positive dreams :p , but I agree with you on what will happen. Could that 911 caller be charged with providing false info if known, as it ended up causing someone to be killed? I'm a bit rusty on that aspect of the law.

I agree that he should be charged but there doesn't seem to be any interest in charging the caller, Ronald Ritchie. People seem to be content just pointing the finger at the cops.

Even when the cops are clearly in the right. I'm not saying they're right all the time though. I've seen and been part of excessive and over zealous cops who were clearly in the wrong. ( I was assaulted by cops due to them over reacting and I did nothing wrong. )
