I use the hornady collet puller. As for the vid, I'll see what I can do.

I had a batch of SS197 that gave me issues. What I ended up doing was to close the collet down completely then run the bullets up to break the seal. I then pulled them like normal. And that is using the hornady collet puller.

These are my reloads that need to be pulled down, there is no sealant or glue, not even a crimp. But they still don't come out easy.

I had trouble pulling bullets with my Hornady thing the first few times, but once I got it figured out, they all come out like butter now. What really helped was burying the Hornady doo dad in the top of the press so it poked way down, then installing Hornady's LED press light on my rockchucker. Now I can see exactly where the Hornady thing grabs the bullet, pull on the lever a bit, and move the ram slowly. If the bullet's not moving, I just restart and go again.

That is very odd without even those things. Is it the right size collet? Otherwise the only other thing that comes to mind is just the setup.

Should always be your first thought. Is there gas in it? Is the doo dad operating correctly? Did I turn the oven off? After that, whatever's left is the answer. What I'm saying is, go put some gas in your oven, adjust your doo dad, and everything will be fine.

Nope. They will group just fine. Boundary air layer affect makes pull marks irrelevant.

Just ask all the guys who have bought our pulled blue tip bullets.

Finally got around to fiddling with the doo dad & you were right, it was the doo dad. Cinched it down with a round in it, back it off just enough to release the round, & now it works like it oughta. Thanks.
