Forum colors

Post by marrandy » 12 May 2010, 06:28

Hello.

can you change the colors on the Forum.

The dark gray and even darker grey writing is really hard to read. The font size makes it even worse.

Non of us are getting any younger.

Thanks...Martin

I prefer light grey. The white is blinding. Even the lightest grey is better than blinding white text :)

I think we might try a light shade of gray later. The white is not working out with me.

Resist the pressure from these young whipper snappers, fuzzy. They are probably on drugs and they have become light-sensitized...eyeball-frazzled..bug-eyed. They probably never go outside in daylight. The white text is much easier to read against the darker background. If they're not suffering from the above, it is because they are reading the forum in a totally darkened room...the solution for them is to turn on a background light.

And so it began, the two factions of LIGHT AND DARKNESS would for all eternity, be thrown into a tumultuous vortex of conflict and war.

Somewhere, deep inside the PRK, the congregations of EEEEVIL rejoiced.

I think it will be a single, short, decisive battle. Then text will turn light grey.

Political tags — such as royalist, communist, democrat, populist, fascist, liberal, conservative,
and so forth — are never basic criteria. The human race divides politically into those who want
people to be controlled and those who have no such desire.

The adjustment is slight. The next step would be even darker...

You can't tell a difference b/t old and new.

Even darker is perfect!

If you say so! :p

I just wanted to make it not quite as sharp as the white tends to be against this background.

Thanks Fuzzy! Looks great. I think it's a excellent compromise.

As in, I-sure-as-hell-got-what-I-liked-awesome! kind of compromise.
:lmao:

In all seriousness I hope this works as the best compromise.

...or make it an option for the user. High contrast is much easier to read and I prefer that. If the cranked-out, bug-eyed, cave-crawler types can't tolerate the bright white, let them select the low-contrast style so it doesn't frazzle their brains more than the drugs they use. But for us somewhat older, sober, non-druggie types, the higher contrast is much easier.

If you haven't noticed yet Jake, there is no way you are going to please everyone. It will always be too light or too dark for someone.

My vote is to make it a setting option if possible or just pick one & keep it
