PMs not sending

Post by bobapunk » 29 Dec 2012, 08:48

Can an Admin look into this for me. I have not been able to send PMs. They just sit in my outbox. I had one in there from months ago that I just noticed. Tried to send two PMs today, and they have not sent yet; just sitting in the outbox. I have checked, and I am not at capacity. I did delete a few old PMs just to make sure.

Thanks!

I know they will stay in your outbox if the receiver doesn't read them.
I can't fix it if there is a problem but you're welcome to send me a test PM to see if it is something along those lines. Have you checked the people you sent them to? Have they been the forum since you sent the PMs?

Might want to get a list of names ready of who the PMs were sent to. While I cannot fix it, those who can may need it (I don't know that they will, just seems like a good idea to me).
Contrary to popular belief, you CAN fix stupid - it's just illegal.

Ah, OK I did not know that is how the outbox works.

I did send a test PM to you. Can you verify receiving it? Once you do, I will check my PMs to see if it has moved to the send box.

Thanks

Done.

I also had another thought about what might be happening. If the person you are sending to never bothers to clear out their inbox, he/she/it may be at the max & unable to receive new PMs?
I don't know if an error message is generated in that case or not. :ponder:

Thanks,

The PM no longer appears in my outbox. However, you might me on to something with the recipient's PM box being full. One of the PMs I sent was to Jay. I imagine he gets a lot of PMs and his box probably fills up quickly.

Jay has the Elite Black Edition Inbox.

It has infinite capacity.
