SS90 & L191 questions

Post by TP57 » 27 Nov 2013, 14:20

I just got a few new rounds for my collection. The elusive SS90 and what I am being told is the Prototype for the L191. Here are my questions if anyone knows:

When was the SS90 actually produced, my head stamp says 92. The patina on this is either that it's old or it's beat up. I'm just trying to date it.

The "L191" has the purple sealant on the primer and it has a head stamp of 93. But the weird thing is that it does NOT have a Red tip. It is brass all the way.

Any help will do.

Thanks!

SS90 was actually produced. Early P90s shot it. It was discontinued in 93 and replaced with the cartridges we know today. If that L191 headstamp is 93 it's one of the first rounds

Sure do. It's rough, but I do. I'll email them to you in the morning!
