.22WMR in Clay

Post by ShockedNKansas » 15 Sep 2012, 19:41

I was thinking to myself the other day, "boy, I sure would like to see what a 22 mag does in clay." So I typed "22WMR clay" in Google and sure enough, Buffman has done it.

Strange thing though, there were a lot of variables with bullet keyholing and the clay looked pretty bashed up. Does anybody know of any other videos out there or perhaps would want to do a more controlled experiment with properly functioning 22WMR bullets and a block of fresh clay?

It would be really cool it someone had a 22WMR rifle to shoot into a block of clay!

Yeah that critical defense load would not stabilize out of that AMT for some reason. I DO have the Gold Dot in .22WMR that I could test in clay :)

Oh that would be very sweet Mr. Buff! But if you do it, make sure the bullet behaves like a normal WMR out of the pistol. A .22WMR knuckleball is going to look a lot more devastating in clay than what reality should reflect. And make sure the clay is fresh and not overly hot (sitting in the car for hours).

And make sure you are ready to do more testing at my future convenience.

Personally I want to see what happens when a .22wmr and a VarminTOR enter the clay block from opposite ends and meet in the middle. But I'm only interested in the results when fired by a midget hopping up and down on one leg on a Tuesday during a full moon.

Can that be done, mmm k?

Buffman, you've probably already completed the .22WMR test since it seems like you crank these tests out daily.. But, if you haven't, and would like for me to buy your clay, PM me the store where you buy it and I'll see if they would allow me to purchase it over the phone and hold it for you as a "gift". :)

I expect the midget to be eating the pineapple as well. But that's just me.

Speaking of which, I don't have a beer in my hand. That beer isn't going to just walk itself over here by itself buffman. :p

That's not right. lol
