Funny, I started this thread about the mpa930 pistols I was gonna get and I still haven't gotten them! The wedding cost a little more than we figured BUT... I ordered both pistols from budsgunshop today! Super excited for the :guns: !!! Next on the list (and it is gonna be a while) are some better optics for my rifles and a kimber eclispe II in 10mm or a colt delta elite 10mm.

I just pre-ordered me one of these in 7.62 mm (308):

SIG716 Precision Marksman

I liked the HK version, but it was too expensive. I also liked the COLT SP901/LE901, but it was not a gas piston design like the SIG.

I could get one as early as November, but it could be longer. Let's hope not.

Now I have to spend as much or more on optics and goodies to put on it :ponder:

Similar to Vortec Max's AR...

Not exactly coming to my FFL, but I have a Precision Firearms 6.5 Grendel on it's way with a 24" Lilja fluted barrel, American Spirit Arms non-reciprocating side charging upper with a free float tube.

And I am putting it on a Heritage Arms billet receiver with a Geissel trigger, and Magpul PRS stock. Only problem is... optics. I just cant decide.

It is supposed to ship next Friday and I am sooo excited. Next step, Cerekoting

The range bags we use.. it even says Team Awesome on them. haha...

No slide racker? I guess for steel it isn't as important.. but it is a good idea just in case. Then again, if the slide is already tuned for your loading, might not want to add extra weight..

They only offer it in 3 configurations right now. Factory, CRP in blue like mine, and CRP hard chromed. They said they are way too busy right now to do any other modifications. It comes tuned from the factory for minor power factor 115 grain 9mm. I'm going to shoot it like this for a while, and then get them to modify it to fit my needs exactly once I figure out what they are. Right now, some of my buddies at work and I like to go over to the reactive steel range, and it will work great for that. I'm going to use it for some open USPSA even though it's minor power factor, but considering how fast and accurate it is, I don't think I'll do too badly. I'm not trying to become a Master or Grand Master. I just really enjoy shooting with my friends. I'm coming back from a case of shooter's elbow so bad that I couldn't even pick up a beer with my right hand for over a month. I had to take about 6 months off from shooting. It's nothing but minor power factor for me for a while.

10-11 lb springs and lightened slide with heavy frame makes the gun joke-like to shoot; I mean that in a great way. I'm sure you will have a tonne of fun! Don't worry about scores. I never do, unless someone is challenging me. I think your mindset is great. I shoot matches 80% to go hang out with great people and 20% to shoot.

Today, I was blessed to shoot with a lot of my friends, in my squad. Sheriff SWAT, PD Armorer, officer workers, car mechanic.... they are all wonderful people from different venues of life who all know how to not take things too seriously and appreciate the privil... um.. right we have to shoot, in this wonderful country of Tex.... USA.

I have a Eotech XPS 3-2 on my PS90, but couldn't find the G33 several months ago so I am not using a magnifier. Let us know how it is because I might add it at a later date, and it would be nice to know if it was worth the money.

I'm going to do a video review of the G33 after I put it through its paces. Although I have never used its predecessor, the G23, and can't compare directly, it's supposed to be a big improvement.

I'll let you know about the cheek weld. Honestly, it felt more natural with the FN-branded MRD that came installed as compared to the EOTech. However, after using an XPS2-2 on my AR57, and really liking the functionality of it, I wanted to go with what I am used to.

My son is starting a new job and carry any kind of reasonable sized gun. I got him a little somethin-somethin that no one will ever know is there:

It's a NAA Mini Magnum. Tried it at the range yesterday - good luck hitting anything outside of 7 yards. It truly is a "get off of me" gun.

I forgot, I bought two more guns since I pre-ordered the SIG716 (previous page). I bought a S&W Model 438 .38 snubbie (black finish, shrouded hammer), and a Ruger MK III 22/45 Lite .22LR pistol.

I also finally got the Urban Camo HS Precision stock for the new Remmy 700 I am putting together. It is purdy. I waited about six months for that stock and then had to send it to Badger Ordnance to have it inlet for their M5 Trigger Guard assembly. I just have to mount the scope now.

I'm waiting on a Ruger LCR 22LR 8 shot polymer framed DAO snubbie revolver with Hogue Tamer grips and a Lasermax 5416 centerfire laser sight. It's main use will be as a low cost trainer for the Ruger LCR 357 revolver that I'll be picking up soon. I've ordered an additional Lasermax 5416 for the 357 so I'll be set when I get the 357 in. I've been around, but I've been SUPER busy. This last semester I attempted to take 12 credits and work 45 hours per week. Needless to say, spare time for things like sleeping and browsing the web has been scarce.

I am taking 11 credits next semester (starts Jan 14th) so I will probably get pretty busy again. Until then... it's good to be back!

I'm starting to think this will never happen. No one has seen one yet. The link above doesn't work anymore on the Sig site. The rifle description has been replaced with this:

SIG716 Precision

It does not say "match grade" on the barrel anymore and it has shrunk from 20" to 18". The flash hider is now missing. And the stock is different.

I may never get one. I am bummed.

Hopefully my FsN will be on its way soon; I forgot I have a big match comin at which I might be able to fiddle around with it on a big stage...

I pretty much send my guns out and have them sent back to my FFL so I can feel better about myself. That way, I feel like I am getting a gun!

Well they are being sent to my house, not the FFL..... ten (10) magpul pmags 30 rd capacity with window.

P.S I ordered two (2) sig P938 pistols. One in Rosewood and one in Blackwood. I cant wait to get the call, that they are on the way!!!
