Thanks for the info Rapier Don't even use the #5 powder? I have a Elite Ammo go no go gauge just go with COL with it?

I don't have any information for that combo.
Accurate's website has:

35gr Hornady V-Max FB
COAL: 1.491"
6.0gr: 1955
6.7gr: 2100

In this case I would use the same load for the 36VG, checking each round for signs over pressure.

I think I have some #5, I'll load some of those up as well & let you know.

As for overall length, for most rounds I use a standard COAL 1.581" which is within the Go-No Go gauge but I try to be a little more precise about the loads I post on here.
I don't think I have ever just loaded "good enough" rounds for plinking - summer project?

Thanks for the info. I've only been reloading about a year now and have waited to reload my 5.7 until I felt confident enough to
try it.Have been reloading .223 7.62 and 22-250 so far and have had no problems. Great Site

I'm not near my load data at the moment, but I made a quick call home to verify what I had listed. I started at 5.5gr and worked it up to 6.0gr. I have not taken it any higher. I found 6.0gr to give great accuracy and decided to stick with it. I used an OAL of 1.565"..

I loaded up some 36gr Varmint Grenades with HS-6 & Accurate #5 powders, here's the data:

Chrony was at 10ft

So for me, I am thinking 6.3gr HS-6 would be ok, that leaves a .2gr fudge factor.
I'll also take Accurate #5 up some more & see where it tops out.

Does anyone have an advice or any suggestions they can chime in? I would greatly appreciate, it thank you guys.

Typically you are going to find the PS90 has a lower powder charge threshold. Charges that show no sign of being at max in the FsN will cause the magazine of the PS90 to pop out. You can use the load data on the first page, just make sure to drop down about .5-1 gr and try it in the PS90. If you work your way up with the PS90, 99% of the time the load will be fine in the FsN. You do not want to use anything approaching max in the FsN in the PS90.

I have been trying 4.9grain Power Pistol with 40 grain V-max and i'm getting a little primer flattening and have some evidence of "blow back" around the primer with two rounds out of 100. I'm cutting back to 4.7 grains.
