HS-7 of course. I hear people have trouble finding it though. I'd think something on the slower end of acceptable powders would be your best bet for the heavier stuff. Maybe True Blue.

I would say that True Blue is the best all around powder period for the weight you are looking at. Especially since HS7 was discontinued. Hodgdon Longshot works about as good as True Blue as a second good choice.

You sure your scale is accurate? 5.4gr of True Blue should be more than enough to cycle the slide. If your scale is accurate, there may be something wrong with your gun.

I have not used CFE

Ah yeah if 5.4 is not cycling your scale or your gun is f*cked.

I’ll have to keep an eye on my scale & test it with known weights to be sure ... I’ll give it another try with 5.4 g true blue (that was the most accurate ) thanks guys

I have played around with CFE pistol. I lost my location to chronograph so I only have a limited amount of data. But I can say it has been working pretty good so far. When I have the time I will try and post some of the data.

I have read about CFE pistol causing barrel wear issues in the .22TCM. Be Careful!
