Price for Brass
Hey guys I'm new to the forum but I have been lurking for awhile. I curious what's a good price for 5.7 brass once fired. I found a site that sell some and there offering $60 for 500 rounds? It's in Stock and I'm thinking about getting 1k worth.

Re: Price for Brass
That's less than I would sell mine for, but then again, I have no need to sell.

Re: Price for Brass
That is not a terrible price. That is $.12 each. I would not have paid that about a year ago, but the price was much higher earlier this year. There has been some on some auction sites that has sold for $.20 each in the past 6 months. It has been falling the past 2 months or so. I would not buy a lifetime supply at that price, but for the current times, it is not a bad price. I buy what I can when I can find it below $.10 a round. With the flow of loaded ammo picking up, I think it will fall back to that level in the next 10-12 months.

Re: Price for Brass
Test firing production samples next week.
Not sure on price yet, not cheap since there is a lot of money invested and my brass is SO much better and higher quality.
My partners running the press where dumbstruck when the started cutting and measuring FNH brass samples at the 20% + swing in specs from one case to the next even from the same box.

Land an order from one of the ammo manufacturers and your in it. We indirectly might benefit due to you recouping costs and maybe a lower price point?
Re: Price for Brass
I sold a lot of it on this forum for $.06 a round. Apparently I was too low.
Re: Price for Brass
Depends on when you sold it. With boxes of AE and SS197 selling for ~$15 a box now when on sale, the amount of people looking for the brass has dropped significantly, so has the price. Bought a batch on a auction site in the last 2 weeks for $.03 each. Did not really need any more, but figured the price was too good to pass up.NLVMike wrote:I sold a lot of it on this forum for $.06 a round. Apparently I was too low.
I would like to try some of the new EA brass, but hate to think of having to start all over again on load data.

FYI I will be submitting some of my loads and EA brass for SAAMI certifying. That will open the door for being included in more manuals.
