I'm new to these here forums but I saw that MrSlippyFist posted something about Kingsburg Gun Club. I used to work there, back in the day. The club is primarily used for shotgun use, as an overhead view would show... See this link to google maps.. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Kings ... dc1a393f09" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I do know that there were occasions where a couple of individuals were allowed to come shoot in 1 particular spot with, if I remember right, a 300 win mag, for zeroing.. thus not putting a terrible amount of ammo down range, I think he went through a whole 10 rounds... as far as much more then that, the place isn't really designed for anything but shooting clays with 12 & 20 ga shotguns.

The Sandusky County Sportsman's Club In Ohio has no Problem with Five Sevens, I fired mine there two days ago.

From my recent trip to San Antonio, TX:

Friendly AND highly-recommended:

http://www.lonestarhandgun.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

This is an outdoor range with steel target and they had no objections to shooting the FiveseveN on their steel but they were a little bit nervous (backsplatter) when they saw the painted tips on the ammo. Great place to shoot, highly recommended.

Semi-friendly BUT not recommended:

http://aplacetoshoot.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

They will let you shoot the FiveseveN on the rifle range but not on the pistol range. My opinion is they do not like this handgun since the rangemaster basically told me this is a cop-killer handgun that shoots cop-killer bullets. So if you don't mind the stupid attitude, the hostile treatment, and the disrespect to law-abiding owners....but I won't be returning to A Place To Shoot since I don't care to feel like I am talking to or being watched by Bloomberg or Feinstein when I am shooting.

I have at least one update for FiveseveN friendly range, and ammo loactions, not sure where else to put ammo locations.

Tennessee Gun Country in Clarksville Tn, has an indoor range, I been emailing them, and they welcome 5.7 shooters. I think just about all the ranges in this area do. I know the Montgomery County shooting complex does.

Tennessee Gun Country also has some 5.7 ammo, he only relied with the FN ammo, so not sure yet what kind. Big Irons off Tiny Town Rd, had a bit of the ss198lf last I went in. But the two best places to go, are to Hopkinsville, Ky to Constitutional off of 41a/ Fort Campbell Blvd. The owner and one of the sales clerks both own a FsN and they keep the ammo fully stocked, they carry both the AE and 197SR. If they don't have it for some odd reason, head to Bass Pro down in Nashville, and they have it for 2 dollars cheaper, but it is a 45 minute drive away from me, so not worth it unless I am already going to be there for something else.

Rhode Island: Sakonnet River Outfitters, has a range that allows 5.7 and PS90

Athena gun club in Houston. Very professional and have 25 yard indoor for rifles and pistols. 5.7 or 5.56 no problem.

Beware, if you pick up your brass bring gloves. They're anal that way.

tparty wrote:In response to comments received during a prior thread (http://fivesevenforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=9529" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;), below is a summary of known FsN-friendly ranges submitted by various folks. Please feel free to add to the list:

etc., etc., etc.

Perhaps these are the places that we should try to patronize with our hard-earned $$. Enjoy!
Newby here, and am curious about this thread, and have a question: Why would a range not be FN 5.7 friendly? :ponder:

There's been a LOT of hype & false information put out about the FsN.
While it is true that it CAN fire armor piercing ammo, that ammo is also not readily available to Joe Citizen - but no one mentions that part... :ponder:
Some places have speed limits on ammo, you can't fire anything over a certain fps due to damage to their backstop. A lot of those people have been incorrectly told that the FsN shoots faster than that & refuse to listen when we try to dispel the rumors.

That attitude is not as common now that more people are using the FsN & there is more information out but a few years ago, it was a pain finding places that would allow it.

There are no issues anywhere in Las Vegas that I know of. I shoot on the regular at either 702 Range or American Shooters, just because I know most of the staff at both locations. I have yet to be told I was not allowed to fire any of my different types of 5.7 yet, short of the 190.

Shooter's Paradise- Port Charlotte, FL

They even allow rifles to be shot in their indoor handgun range. Had a guy come in and shoot .223 and a .308 while I was there shooting with friends.

I will be going to Delta Arsenal in Wallingford, CT. on this Saturday to shoot in their indoor range.

http://www.deltaarsenal.com/gun-range" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I am going to assume they will allow the FsN because they allow AR's and rent machine guns. I will update this post with my findings.

ETA: Update: Delta Arsenal does allow the 5.7x28.

My range disallows all bottleneck pistol rounds at the pistol portion. They have all sorts of motorized target stands, berms aren't heavy enough to stop some of those monster single shot rifle/pistol things, so they just lumped everything together. That also means no 25NAA...

Sensibly Armed in Mount Penn PA is five seven friendly but only if you shoot the AE TMJ or SS197SR. I had some loose SS198LF in a SS195LF BOX and they wouldn't let me shoot it because it's obviously too fast ( only up to 2000fps allowed) And they wanted to see the box to check. I talked to the owner about which rounds I use and the ones I keep at home/outside shooting and he says reloads are fine also as long as it stays under 2000. Certain employees come up and ask what ammo I'm using but I tell them I clear it with the owner before I even step into the range.

I was looking for a range that had the FiveseveN as a rental and found this one range in Poway, CA: Poway's Weapons and Gear's Indoor Range: http://weaponsandgearrange.com/firearm_rentals.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. I'm hoping to rent the FiveseveN soon to get a feel of its performance.

Elite Shooting sports in Prince William County, VA just off 66 has been a great place to shoot. I've shot both my FiveseveN and PS90 there without any question.

In Texas, rarely (in my case never) do they check the ammo. They point my to a lane & fire away.

Hoover Tactical in Birmingham, Alabama. 5.7 ok on pistol range. All indoor, they have a good selection of rentals available including the 5.7. Also sell ammo and targets, sell weapons and supplies. Have a separate rifle range also indoor.

Colorado - The Firing Line

They will let you shoot 5.7 from the pistol. Didn’t ask about the P90 though... Just got back from putting a few hundred rounds through my new FiveSeven.
