There's a range in Raleigh I go to when I visit my dad that doesn't allow any FsN shooting at all because they said that it will penetrate their Lexan/Plexi glass and shoot into the lobby. They allow .500 S&W Mag though. Not sure if that will penetrate better as I'm no ballistics expert and can't seem to find any .500 S&W Mag vs *glass video's, just seems weird to me. Last range I went to in Key Largo didn't allow FsN because they said bullets > 2000fps weren't allowed on their range. I politely told them I was shooting factory SS197 and that it was well below their threshold, they said hold on a sec, looked it up online I guess, and then agreed and let me shoot it.

Idaho:
Any outdoor range I have ever been to or asked about is FsN friendly.
I've only been to two indoor ranges in ID, both FsN friendly
Boise: Impact Guns
Pocatello: Sam's Indoor Gun Range

Excellent--keep 'em coming. I'll put together a summary of the different ranges in a couple of days.

In Northern Virginia:
Blue ridge Arsenal (rifle range only)
Silver eagle Group 3 ranges, 50yd and 2 25yd. ALL rated for 50BMG Only restriction I know of is Slugs for shotguns.

I shoot at Silver Eagle all the time, they like the trigger mods on my 57, and FINALLY have a 57 for rent.

Same issue with a gun store in Austell GA :ttiwwp: . Went in and ask can I fire the FN here and was told no :rules: . At the time there happened to be like around 6 Homeland Security Agents on site that doing whatever. They all kinda looked around at me and snarled. I left and went straight to Nick's in Marietta and squeezed off like 200 plus rounds :guns: .

I think I have been to the range the op is talking about and they let me shoot my five seven, but made me go to the rifle area.If its the one I am thinking about they are usually pretty rude when I go in there.Autrey's Armory in Fayetteville GA is an indoor pistol and rifle range that will allow the five seven.

There is a range near me that has a rule that you space your shots out every 3 seconds, otherwise they get on a loudspeaker and embarrass you infront of all the other shooters.

That is one of the dumbest rules Ive ever heard, how are you suppose to practice double tap or triple tapped if your spacing your shots out every 3 seconds? Strictest range, they piss so many shooters off at that range and they clearly have no regard for shooters practicing self defense with their firearm.

Ive thought about bringing a FiveseveN with me to the range and unloading a 30 round extended magazine as fast as I can just to hear them get on the loudspeaker.

User42 wrote:Because of that it's now a no exceptions rule to not allow anything that can shoot AP ammo. It sucks, but it's really hard to argue with that.
It's not that hard. Just show them an AP 9mm bullet. Or, if you want a bullet that's "One Better", it comes in 10mm, too. Of course we'd be remiss if we didn't mention good ol' .45 ACP.

I think I'd tell them that if they want to ban a gun, that's fine... private property and whatnot... but just don't lie about why.

Arkansas- Sturms In door gun range lets me shoot my ps90 in his pistol range. The owner Steve is 5.7 friendly, owns the handgun, and ar conversion. Refuses to shoot my ps90 because he doesnt want to buy one. Wouldnt take any hot loads there, he said his rule was nothing over 2000fps, but the ss197 is ok in his range. Downside for me is its only a 25 yard range. Upside is its less then a mile from work, and he keeps a large stock of ammo(but only ss197).

Did you mean to put that here Joe? Looks more fitting for the FsN friendly ranges thread viewtopic.php?f=15&t=9601" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I'll quote it & put it over there. If I was a mod, I would just move it (ahem... mods :p )

Thanks for the info either way :thumb:

Ironically, all the indoor ranges I've been to in the Seattle Tacoma area are FsN friendly. One of them even rents the FsN
