Five-seveN dress up

Post by Augustus » 09 Jun 2009, 22:43

This thread is almost pointless... So don't hate on me too bad... :ponder:

I was thinking of ways to make my Five-seveN look a bit better. There is nothing in the way of custom grip accessories and the such, as you can find with Glocks and others (I wouldn't want to change it anyway! It's perfect!).

So I was thinking this : Install the black safetey, take down lever, magazine release, and slide release that come on tan Five-seveNs onto my black one.

This would involve ordering the parts from FNH, then field stripping the frame, voiding the warranty, and installing the new pieces.

So what do you guys think? Would it look better? Any undesired side effects?

Been done already. Most guys who want the black controls take their grays off and die them in Rit black die.

You can add a hogue handall grip, get the +10 rd mag extention, order custom ammo from elite and mount whatever type of light/laser you want on the rail. That is about all you can practically/safely do to "dress up" or "deck out" the fiveseven.

Augustus,

I am so tempted to make a smart-ass remark, it is requiring all the self-control I can muster. I know you weren't asking to match yer shoe color to your fingernail polish, so I'll just stow my comments.

This seems like a friendly place and I'd hate to get 86'd my first day.

I find your comments pointless and unneeded.

Keep up that attitude, and you will probably get booted fairly quickly. :ponder:
