For the record, if you are a Castle fan (and even if you're not) - best episode ever - IMHO. Tons-o-sci fi references including Star Trek, BSG, and yes, even "That Joss Whedon show."

AGREED.

I think he snuck the "Joss Whedon" comment in there, and that it wasn't in the script. He hesitated, and he couldn't help himself. :)

I think it was intentional, if you watch the series there are occasional references to Firefly. During one halloween episode he was trying out costumes & came out wearing his 'Captain Mal' get up.

They also played music from FF when he was doing it.

Saw a black Five-seveN in the movie Transcendence the other week. The camera spent quite a bit of time on the gun (both side and muzzle angles) so you were able to easily identify it. The guy holding the FsN was being mind-controlled and just kind of held it out there for all to see if I remember correctly. Rotten Tomatoes gave the movie a bad rating and I was hesitant to watch it, but am glad I did because I really enjoyed it. The movie explored some really far-out technology concepts and the acting was good. I really can't fathom why they gave it such low marks. I usually agree with RT's ratings but this one seemed more like a 50 than a 19.

"The 100" series has the FsN USG in it. Not in every episode but in several.

Anyone catch the fsn in the last episode of the walking dead? They handed one out before going on a scavenging mission. There was a cool line about it being "the good sh**" or something too.

Latest FB post on Agents of Shield has two of them pulling out FsNs; don't remember but they might even be MkIIs

I don't watch the show so don't ask me.

The bad guys (Hydra) often have FsN's on that show. The last episode I saw had the heroes posing as BGs, and I'm pretty sure they were wielding FiveseveNs.

FN on NCIS

Post by oldnfat » 07 Apr 2015, 19:00

I'm a fan of the TV show NCIS. Tonights episode featured a FiveseveN as the "murder weapon". Pretty cool.

Pretty cool that our favorite gun is a murder weapon? No, not cool :p We don't want bad press

(Trivia time: Mark Harmon (Agent Gibbs) is anti-gun)

Really really. It's on his IMDB bio page but also on lots of other webpages out there.
The one that really surprised me though was stallone & his comment about going door to door & confiscating guns.
In an interview, while living in Britian, sly is quoted as saying:
In response to the shooting of Phil Hartman in 1999, Sylvester Stallone told Access Hollywood, “Until America, door to door, takes every handgun, this is what you’re gonna have. It’s pathetic. It really is pathetic. It’s sad. We’re living in the Dark Ages over there.”

Hollywood is full of hypocrites like that.

Well Rapier1772, I am not quite sure how to take your reply on the NCIS post. I would hope you are being sarcastic. How could you possibly consider this as "bad press". The fact that the show featured the FiveseveN at all is a tribute to the weapon we all endorse. Care to explain?

I like the Tat chick BUT I can't forgive using a hot latin chick to fake a Jewish chick. There are plenty of hot Israeli operator chicks who could have plaid that role.
