Re: CCW Owners

yeah even CA is a may issue state. Unlike IL and WI, the only two bastard states that don't allow CCW. I just completed my class saturday. Filing paperwork when I get chance to go to County Clerk. I haven't decided if I'm going to carry the 5.7 or my XD..

OK i will clarify, worthless in the sense of using the internet as the holy grail of defensive ammunition and only the stuff that tests the best is worth buying. Shot placement is still orders of magnitude more important than wtf a round does through 4 layers of denim. Agreed. To me it's almost lik...

FWIW all the crap out there on Self Defense ammo in common calibers is worthless IMHO. When was the last time you heard of somebody not stopping a BG because they weren't using the internet's best proven round? I don't know how you'd call available information from sources such as the FBI and commo...

well of course when stress occurs lots of things you know you forget, but it's easily possible to retain basic ideas of where to and where not to fire. I guess that would also depend on whether you're friend chooses to remain stationary, or try and find the intruder first (lot of risk involved in th...

HD yes Home Defense. Glasser and Xtreme Shock ammo will penetrate drywall too. Based on one test even the Glasser stuff will go through 6 layers of drywall (bounces off the 7th) Beyond that the FBI has determined through studies of actual shootings and testing that 12" of penetration is the minimum ...

Thanks Wollychop and Grantness. I agree, I really do not think there is anything out there. I know for the pistol they are hard to find in stores and expensive when you do or if ordered. I think I paid something like $20 for 6 rounds for the .357 and the same for the .45. I normally dont care or wo...

This was back in december before I joined here. Denny's Tactical Supply had 150 in stock. I had 7 of them in my car for 20 minutes while deciding to pull the trigger. Good thing they have an active Checkout cart that takes away from inventory, otherwise i would have been SOL :)

Meijer stores have a saturday only add. Buy any winchester ammo get one box half off. Not the greatest deal, but spend over $25 and you can use the 15% off coupon. Limit 8 boxes. Ended up getting the .223 40 round value packs for $32.xx out the door. Right around .40 cents around for JHP. Better dea...

I buy my HD ammo for the 9mm and .40 from ATG. Nothing like well proven Gold Dots for $25 for 50 rounds. Screw Slander Mountain and their $30 for 20 rounds.
