Home defense is so tough these days...

I know it's not a rifle, but...

Re: Nasty new 12 ga slug

This may be a silly question, but I have to wonder what that would do as a home defense round. There's no question it's gonna put a hurt on the BG's day, but since it didn't *quite* penetrate a bear, what could one expect in a house or apartment?

Re: I want fixed sights. What are my options?

Sometimes the high front sight on my USG will snag on clothing during a draw (I use an IWB holster). I had the same problem until I switched to the Blade-Tech UCH. I have not had one snag since then. Re: Mr New AR-10

Looks good, who made the flash hider? The flash hider was made by someone in MN for a LEO - I will try to find out more details. Very nice rifle. We need some range pics now! :thumb: I have only put enough rounds through to zero in the scope. Unfortunately I only had inexpensive federal 7.62 rounds...

Re: 5.7 gun range discrimination

I was a member at Bullseye, but let my membership lapse because of the same issue. Gateway is an outdoor range in Jacksonville that has no problem with the FsN. You can find them at http://www.grpc-jax.com/index.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: NC Star APRLS...

FWIW, I put an NCStar 3-9x scope on my AR-15 as a temporary solution (due to low funds) with every intention of upgrading when feasible. 1500 rounds later I have had no problems with the scope maintaining its zero, the target is visible and bright as can be and I can consistently hit a quarter from ...

Re: New Member Introduction

I do have to say though, that I did experience a FTF on the very first round :?: ... the striker did not impact the primer. I reinserted the round and have not had a recurrence in the 200 rounds through her since! Welcome! There is no striker in the FiveseveN Pistol, it is a hammer/firing-pin syste...

Re: New Member Introduction

Greetings! I found this site while searching for FsN information on google. I own Taurus handguns and an XDm .40 (my primary concealed carry weapon) as well as several rifles. I saw the FsN at my local gun store and gun shows and it looked great, but the conflicting stories about the ammo (stopping ...

Re: Heed the Siren Call?

I too have been planning for the zombie/post-apocalyptic world and armed myself with the following: * Taurus Millennium Pro 9mm (for ankle carry) * XDm .40 (primary CCW) * Taurus Tracker .357 (gotta have at least one revolver) * Henry .22LR lever action rifle * Remington 870 12GA tactical version * ...
