Re: NEW (2015) 5.7X28 handgun

Oh hey, life on the forum again

Isn't the DAO so an officer can't be accused of creating a hair trigger situation. Or some thing like that..?

The ammo market is killing the 5.7 I think. Sure don't help

Looks like they retained the foward trigger guard grip. Do any of you use that on you pistols?

Much appreciated.

I've been using longshot more lately. Really like it, seems like a versatile powder.

Re: Lehigh Defense "Controlled Chaos"

How come that weight was chosen over a lighter one at higher speeds?

I recall you stating speed and lightweight projectiles are key in the 5.7. Seems the speed would help expansion too.

Always curious.

Re: 35gr Trident Elite Ammunition 5.7x28mm Loading Data

That is a good bit to know, By brass data I was meaning benefits. What are the gains you've found using them? Have you been able to achieve higher fps as a result of the strength? What are the selling points? More reloads before wearing out? How many? Smaller case capacity for more efficient burn of...

Re: 35gr Trident Elite Ammunition 5.7x28mm Loading Data

So let me get this straight,

Despite greatly different case capacities, you recommend the same powder loads?

Do you have any data on the brass itself yet?

Re: Elite Ammunition Coffee Chat 1.31.2016

I used to build lasers and flashlights as a teenager. 32560s in a D mag light work better. Add a nice aluminum reflector, glass lens, driver, heatsink and diode. Jayrob is the guy to talk to. Laserpointerforums.com candlepowerforums.com I think are both good resources IIRC. I have a little pen light...

Re: Possibility of an "Echo" Trigger for the PS90?

I don't think it's smart, but I think it's silly. Similar to the positive reset triggers If people would take the effort of making, selling, and buying bullshit products, into pushing legislators and congress to just change the damn thing you're walking around. The world would be a lot better place ...

Re: Handloads are mid-air tumbling

It seems FN uses very long lightweight rear biased bullets. Most of the offerings we see are not long enough. Or too heavy. Or not biased. Jay does not consider a tighter twist barrel or suggest powders/loads from what I've seen. He still hasn't released any info about his brass he released. Prices ...

Re: 50 Gr Combined Ballistics Load

Yes I did, and this was the first cartridge I ever reloaded by myself. So ha! I had a good idea where I was going to ~5.0gr. I had read plenty of other people's loads around a similar weight, and EA uses this bullet. It isn't my first time dealing with precision though, I'm a biochemist and a mechan...

It was only a touch longer, so I figured I had eno...

Well then give him a call and tell him to quit holding out on us with all those AR-10 Mag Catches!!!

He is the only one that makes them to the required spec, (Longer threaded rod, larger mag catch tab)

about to design my own !!! :)

PS90 Shopping

Hello everyone As some of you may know, I'm looking for a PS90! I was hoping to ask you all for your input on where I may find one. Either a really good deal new, or a better deal used. I heard that there is a period of 4th gens that were modified by FN somehow and are less desirable not really sure...

I agree. For me, it is just for fun. I can't think of a legitimate use either. Curiosity, I suppose. Sometimes I will load one up to shoot through a hard target to see if it goes through. like a PC or fridge.. But I agree, the uses are extremely limited. Which is Why I would like to see some expandi...

Re: Elite Ammunition T6B Gel Test

I've never ever intended to have any deconstructive criticism. Curious, and always interested in making things work better for everyone. Perhaps a smaller post between the fragments could be experimented with until a point is found at which is breaks on firing/reduces penetration, then add a couple ...
