Re: Which gun is on its way to your ffl right now?

Cool. Dave is awsm. The range bags we use.. it even says Team Awesome on them. haha... No slide racker? I guess for steel it isn't as important.. but it is a good idea just in case. Then again, if the slide is already tuned for your loading, might not want to add extra weight.. thanks for sharing! ...

Re: Scope advice

Personally, I really like a 1X-4X zeroed at 50 on an AR. For practical shooting, you're high or low by less than 2" out to around 250. Good amount of, and decent range of eye relief that will work fine. I find 1X-1.5X to work well up close, and up to 4X works well enough for my almost 40 year old ey...

I voted for local shop, but the local shop I frequent the most is Bud's. 5 of my last 6 I got at Bud's.

Re: Slide fire stock

Works good enough for fun at the range, but in my experience it will jam up once every mag or 2. Also, do not use 197's in it. About 1% do this:

Re: When will FNS-9 be available in the US?

Thanks for the review, RC! The FNX mags fall out even though they are locked into place? That shouldn't happen... if they are completely locked in, I don't see how it's possible for the FNX magazine to fall out even if you load 17 in it. That's nuts! I was quite surprised. It didn't happen with 16 ...

Re: When will FNS-9 be available in the US?

Got one today and just got home from the range with it. I'm quite happy with the purchase. Came with 3 magazines and with the typical replaceable backstraps. The night sights were a nice surprise. It also a safety, mag release, and slide relase on both sides, so it will work you lefties out there. A...

Re: Flashlights

I have a few of the 4sevens flashlights. They've been very bright, and very reliable. The price considering their performance is not bad at all.

Re: Elite Ammunition Trigger Work Questions, Comments, Conce

My stock trigger really wasn't horrible. Definitely nothing to get excited about at all though. However, everyone that knows guns that has checked out my EA trigger has responded, "Wow, that's nice!"

Re: AR 5.7 and slidefire

Played with the SlideFire some more tonight. I don't recommend the 197s with it. I had a 2 FTFs that smashed up the rounds while running longer streams of fire. So far, it looks like the 195s with a standard carbine buffer and standard trigger works the best. The occasional light strike with that se...

Re: Elite Ammunition Trigger Work Questions, Comments, Conce

Like others have said, the stock trigger isn't bad at all. I've definitely seen much worse factory triggers. However, the EA trigger job makes it much nicer. Worth every penny.

Here's a picture with the DeltaPoint closer up. You can see what a good fit it is.

Re: EA FsN Heavy Duty 20 pound Recoil Spring.

As for the ejection of spent brass, I'm not sure how far it would go considering I was shooting at an indoor range. I am very happy to report that it no longer bounces off the wall and hits me in the head though.

Re: EA FsN Heavy Duty 20 pound Recoil Spring.

I ran 100 197's through my FsN with a brand new EA 20# spring today. No problems at all. I also ran a mag of staggered ProII and ProIII's after that. Again, no problems at all.

Re: Another NEW Load From EA! ProtecTOR III

Shot some ProII and ProIII today at the range with my FsN along with some 197. BIG difference. Still very easy to control though. I'll be staggering the ProII and ProIII for carry in the FsN. They should be listed as +P or magnum to do them justice. Either that, or the regular stuff should be sold a...

Re: AR 5.7 and slidefire

Build 3.0 didn't get any light strikes, but it's still a no go. The difference between the trigger pull and the amount of recoil is too small. Kept putting too much pressure on it and causing the trigger not to reset. Does 2-3 round burst extremely well though. I forgot to take the extra buffers and...

Re: AR 5.7 and slidefire

I just replaced the stock flash hider with a DoubleStar adjustable muzzle brake. It has 3 settings to choose from. I'm pretty sure 1 of the settings should work well for this application. Muzzle rise with the flash hider wasn't bad at all, but I would love to not have any. As for the ammo price, yes...

Re: AR 5.7 and slidefire

Fedex guy showed up with some goodies for me today. A case of 197, a box of Pro2, and a box of Pro3. Of course, the EA stuff is for carry in the FsN now that it's getting a little cooler. A hydraulic recoil buffer and an adjustable muzzle brake came in for it yesterday. I'm hoping to tune the AR57S...
