Re: Reflex help please, got a new itch.

That does look good, way cleaner than the picatinny wraparound ( looks like the kydex holster got stuck on the gun and you have to shoot it that way till you get home to cut it off your gun) mount. I will think it over and see what comes up. After seeing your slide, now you have me thinking paint jo...

Anyone waiting on nosler e-tips?

Just got a answer on the 55 grain e-tip Nosler( solid-no lead) here is what they said, """"Thank you for your inquiry. There has been quite some delay, but according to our latest production schedule we are slated to begin production towards the middle of January 2016. I would anticipate these bulle...

Reflex help please, got a new itch.

Hello fellow FN fans, its been a while since I have been here to check on reloading data and just get a five seven fix in general. I have got the notion of going to reflex sights. Anyone go through the process and learn anything good or bad? I don't know much about reflex sights other than a few rou...

Anyone running cci450 primers ?

I ran out of cci br4( all the gun shop had at the time) and have nothing but 450 magnums. I know I have to restart my data but would like a ball park figure on the difference with 35 and 40 grain bullets and hs6 powder? Or is it just a no-no and wait till I can get restocked with 400's or more of th...

Re: Reloading equipment for 5.7x28mm

Ok the Hornady cam lock collet puller is worth every penny on light weight bullets. I pulled 50 or so 35 grain leadfree noslers and left hardly any marks. Beats the hell out of my kinetic puller that is rough on the 5.7x28 cases( that now has a bent handle due to tight necks and light bullets). If a...

Re: How about a load data page or sticky ?

I figured out why my last batch went to hot. I worked them up in cooler weather, then sealed the bullet and primer for a wet weather hunting trip( last minute ,didn't even think of pressure dangers). Now I know to work up all loads in warmer weather and test after all tweaks have been made even "bull...

Re: How about a load data page or sticky ?

Well its a mix and match game of data, different primers, seating depths, and now I am hung up on how much temp is involved in reloading. I got some help from a fellow member, and gathered info myself to come up with enough data to run my own batch to test. Well I had different primers than any sourc...

Re: Reloading equipment for 5.7x28mm

I know the factory loads are glued but does giving reloads a slight tap downward with the seater die help pulling them also? When I get a puller die ,I will try it both ways and see what happens. I have a few that was loaded in cold weather that is beating up the brass now that its warmer. At least ...

Weather and reloads?

Well today I set out to make up a load using 40 grain vmax and hs6 powder with br4 primers( all I had). All went well and saw that the hs6 is plenty good enough for my tastes. The kicker was when I opened the box I loaded last fall. I had made up some 35 nosler lead free ballistic tips with hs6 powd...

40 grain v-max hs-6 powder cci BR4 small rifle primer data

Dont know the best format to post this in but here is my way of trying: Five seven pistol, hot humid day, 95 degrees, once fired brass( mfg unknown) twice now :D Five shots each string , 7 strings total starting at 6.1 grains ending in 6.7 lowest spread velocity 27 fps( 6.7 grains) average gain, per...

Re: How about a load data page or sticky ?

Got a non-offcial load data manual you want to share? Kidding , but I have come to the conclusion that all load data should just be posted with a very low start load. Even at that I have noticed some start loads are others midrange load. I am assuming its neck tension in different dies ? Variations ...

Re: Reloading equipment for 5.7x28mm

My case necks are really tight, it is like they are glued and crimped, and for some reason it makes me nervous beating a live round on the cement floor. I guess I am looking at wasting at least one part of the assembly. Bullet or case and primer? I know by what you said about a small dent ,that the ...

How about a load data page or sticky ?

Wish someone had enough time to post all the load data on one page, and make it so that each recipe could be verified or notes added . Most verified at the top of list(most popular). I have several powders , but to scared to work up a new recipe. I did find one that I can use with the search functio...

Re: Reloading equipment for 5.7x28mm

Its been a while, but I came back to check on a good bullet puller for single stage press? I assume a (collet?)type puller, but I want to make sure. My kinetic hammer puller with the shell holder attached works but kills the brass. I guess my lee dies are tight. Well and that I have 35 grainers that...

Re: Been hearing allot about airguns lately

Been thinkin about billet aluminum cases with the primer and pocket for the 22 cal pellets. Good idea I thought till this BS thats goin on now( no primers to speak of) . I wonder what a large rifle mag primer would fling a 22 cal pellet at? Damm now you got me thinkin about my five seven, I know it ...
