Re: Any other crimper options out there?
hi mr. Wolf, i have the CH4D set, and its great, just wish i could make crimps that dont smoosh the lip as much and that are just a tad down the neck to hold the projectile by its widest point inside the neck if i am making sense. thank you for your earlier response.

Any other crimper options out there?
Hello, I own a popular crimper that makes the crimp right at the neck lip. I want a crimper that will crimp more down the neck of the case. Any options out there? Is there like a collet crimper or something that will crimp in the middle of the neck or somewhere close to there? Maybe a 5.56 crimper t...

Re: Elite Ammunition devestaTOR round info.
There have been a few versions and weights. 36gr currently. Sir, thanks for the response, I have two boxes, one the projectile is smooth, looks like an ss190 round and I think manufacture date is recent. The other box, the projectile is more pointed towards the nose and flares out towards the case ...

EA T6B OAL check
hey guys I got a few different EA rounds that I own and they seem to have an OAL of between 1.575-1.585, this is including T6 copper & bronze, devestators, S5...seems like the 28gr projectiles get seated lower...I haven't been able to confirm the OAL on the T6B, I am just putting together some data ...

Re: Home Grown SS 190
FNH doesn't even consistently use the same powder for one round, let alone across the board. EA & a few reloaders here have done extensive testing on this. I would not recommend reusing any of FNH factory powder - except when used for lighting fires :D So a properly loaded True or Accurate powders ...

Re: Home Grown SS 190
My thought is that it is the same, I would think they would use the same powder through the whole range of loadings and just change the amount. 27 to 31 isn't much difference, and I have seen as much as 1/2gr difference in 55 or 62 grain bullet bullet weights before. All that says is one bullet may...

Re: Home Grown SS 190
The factory powder load on the ss190 is 6.7 grains of powder with an OAL of 1.5800 to 1.5820 from the samples I had, which is the same as the law enforcement 27grain bullet , also 6.7 grains, from what both my scales say. . Does this mean that FN uses the same powder load for the ss190 & ss192 ? Ev...

Does anyone use an aftermarket glue or sealer when reloading the 5.7? I had a batch of ss190s once that had a purple translucent ring around the seat of the bullet.

Re: Pulling apart factory loaded ammo and reloading
It is not a proprietary blend and it changes from time to time. Ammo with the same lot number will likely have the same kind of powder but I still have no idea what that powder is or how much of a change equals what change in pressures. Oh and their powder charge is not always consistent. In fact, ...

Re: Pulling apart factory loaded ammo and reloading
Thank you for your reply Sir! The only reason why I was thinking of reusing the powder is because I would be taking it out of a factory round, and was assuming that they would be using a standard proprietary FN mix for the 40gr bullet. If I were to switch the 40gr bullet for the 36gr one, while usin...

Re: Pulling apart factory loaded ammo and reloading
When I pull factory loads I just run the case through my sizing die minus the De-capping rod, which tightens the necks enough to not need any kind of glue. Hi I'm new to relaoding, but have a general question...the procedure you state above will allow me to take a factory 197 round, re-size it with...

EA 36gr PFP bullet loading question.
Hello I have a quick question about the EA 36gr copper PFP bullet. Since the FN ss197 40gr hornady bullet load is comparable in projectile weight to the 36gr PFP bullet, can I take some of the 197's that I have, pull the 40gr projectile (should be a slower burning powder in there, right?), back off ...
